Phillip Rivers Owners (1 Viewer)

I have to pick 2 out of Rivers, Leinart, and Kitna.

As of right now I am planning on going with Rivers and Leinart.

Heavy penalty for sacks and int (-2)

Peyton - Rivers

Campbell - Rivers

Kitna - Rivers

Big Ben - Rivers

I like Rivers this year, despite a tough schedule. Without Marty's conservative offense, and LT being the focus of opposing D's, Rivers should have pretty good year, in now his second full season. However, I see a low scoring game in SD this week, and my only close call was Kitna vs. Rivers, but as much hype as Oakland's pass D gets, they are not nearly as good as the Bears.

Sidenote: Chargers/Bears under 44 is a gimmie this week, Chargers win 16-10.
Chargers havent been held under 20 at home in 3 years, just something to think about.
:lmao:

Philip's WRs let him down today. He wasn't sharp, but he finished 22-31 and had 5 drops, including the long one to Vince Jackson that bounced off of his chest.

That ball was tipped right in front of him, thats a TOUGH catch. Anyway, i like Rivers this year, but that game went almost exactly how i expected it to go.

Yes, pretty much nobody could have made that catch without just getting really lucky (like by having the ball bounce straight up off the shoulder pad and get batted into the receiver's arm by a DB or something).Rivers did not have a great game. The INT was a poor decision, and some of the throws to LT were a bit off.

Was it tipped? I was watching it at a friends house who doesn't have TiVo, so I wasn't able to rewind it. I hope it was - if it wasn't tipped it was an awful attempt by VJax.

Agreed. Still he finished over 70% including the drops and only made one really poor decision (the INT). If this is a poor game from him against a great defense, he's really going to be special. :)
