Philly Travel Guys (1 Viewer)

Made it. Ended up at the Doubletree on 237 South Broad.

Ready for suggestions, thanks. I asked Damon in the Shark Pool. Figured he should be in a good mood today.
Green Eggs Cafe
Will try it tomorrow or Monday, thanks.

Actually could really use a Philly cheesesteak or pizza spot by where we're at now (237 South Brand). Will take the subway to the arena after.
DiNic’s at Reading Terminal Market is always solid, but not for cheesesteaks specifically. The staff is sassy according to Mrs. O

Been in town since Saturday. Having a blast. Have hit up several of the recommendations in here.

Went to the penitentiary tour today, which was cool. So since we were so close to the art museum (Rocky steps), we figured we'd walk over. My god. Not sure I've been this disappointed in humanity in a long time.

The number of people filming their significant others running up the steps and doing the whole bit at the top... It's unfathomable. Some in costume of some sort.

What is wrong with people? Is no one embarrassed by anything anymore?

Kings of Leon concert tonight. Going to be awesome.

Ate at Sky High last night. A party of 6 came in at one point and a guy in their party live-streamed their entire time there.

The Rocky steps was more annoying.

Good Buddy’s of Philly, first congrats on the Super Bowl!!

My wife and I want to visit Philly for a few days this summer so I will have more questions later but we are going to be visiting a good family friend in the near future that will be at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (N 39th Street) as their teen daughter is having eye surgery.

We will only be in Philly for a few hours but would love to get a great Philly Cheesesteak on our way out of the city. From the medical center we will be heading northwest towards I-76 but don’t mind back tracking a little ways for a great Philly Cheesesteak.

Not worried about touristy places just a great Philly Cheesesteak! What do you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

If you're heading NW on the Schuylkill and have time for a 5-10 minute detour, both Chubby's and Dallesandro's (across the street from each other on Henry Ave) are great choices. The latter onlyhas outdoor seating though.

Or even closer to 76 is Bar Jawn on Main St in Manayunk. Their cheesesteaks are amazing but don't open till 4 pm on weekdays.

Go to both: Dallesandro's for a cheesesteak, Chubby's for a chicken cheesesteak :chefkiss:

I thought this was gonna be bumped for "I'm flying into Philly for the parade, any tips?" and I was gonna say "God help you."
My son texted me from his dorm after the game and said that the only bad thing is he'll miss the parade this time around. When the city announced that it would be Friday due to weather, I immediately found cheap points tickets on United and he's flying into PHL from California on Thursday night and I'm driving up to meet him. I'm really, really excited to do this again.

I'll be watching from my couch, again, despite living 10 minutes from the stadium. I'm the guy that can't do music festivals, something like this is no different.
