Pick 2 keepers (12 team league, .5 PPR) (1 Viewer)

12 teams, .5 PPR, 16 roster spots, no K or D.

Keeper rules: draft round increases by one round each year (example: 6th round pick in '25 is a 5th round pick in '26). Can keep indefinitely through value as a 1st round pick. Any player in the 11th round or greater is a 10th round pick the next year. Maximum of four keepers.

I will obviously be keeping Nico Collins and Chase Brown. Looking for advice on the last two.

Reasonable keeper candidates (with '25 draft round)
Ken Walker - 4
Brock Purdy - 5
Nico Collins - 6 (keeping)
JK Dobbins - 7
Chase Brown - 8 (keeping)
Jayden Reed - 9
Drake Maye - 10
Tyrone Tracy - 10
Isaiah Likely - 10

Remaining '24 roster (we had 17 roster spots last year)
Mark Andrews - 2
Will Shipley - 10
Audric Estime - 10
Tyler Badie - 10
Jermaine Burton - 10
Sione Vaki - 10
Jalen Coker - 10
Justice Hill - 10

What is the cost of keeping 4 players as opposed to three or two? By that I mean, do you get extra draft picks earlier? If you keep four does that mean your first pick will be in the "5th" round. If you keep 3 it would be in the "4th round" etc?

Is it a 1 QB league? TE Premium? Do you have to start a TE?

the only player I would think about keeping is Walker and I am not too thrilled about that. It really depends on the cost to keep more than two as to whether or not I would keep anymore players.

I'd probably only keep those two honestly.

Drake Maye is potentially interesting too. With every team getting 4 keepers that dwindles the draft pool so his ADP in your league is probably going to be a couple round higher than you'll find online.

It's a 1 QB league, normal TE scoring.

The cost of a keeper is one draft round higher than the previous year. So Nico Collins costs a 6th round pick this year, Chase Brown costs an 8th round pick. 10th round is the maximum value. You "forfeit" your pick in the round that you have a keeper, unless you have multiple picks from trades.

I've listed the players' draft rounds in the original post.

So it doesn't really hurt you to keep more than two. Essentially for the last two keepers you just decide if you like the guy and think the round loss is about what you would pay anyway. No real reason to not keep a guy or to keep a guy. Really just kind of a gut feel thing.

That being said, I probably keep Tracy for a 10th then. i am guessing he would be long gone by then and there probably isn't someone else better for you to draft in that spot in the draft. I probably don't keep a 4th player.

Thanks. I'm planning on keeping Tracy and also Drake Maye. The cost for a QB that can run is very high in this league - with keepers taken out of the draft order, generally the running QBs are gone by the early third round. So worth a shot to hit gold with a 10th round pick I can keep indefinitely.
