It's time to Pick-a-Player! We give you a common drafting situation and you let us know how you would handle it. We will tally up the results and quote a few of the better replies in the article on the Footballguys website.

It's the 1.12 pick in a PPR league, and the players listed below are off the board. Would you select Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, or Aaron Jones? Or would you pass on all three?

Your starting lineup: 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB, WR, TE), 1 PK, 1 Def

Players Taken

  • Christian McCaffrey
  • Dalvin Cook
  • Derrick Henry
  • Alvin Kamara
  • Saquon Barkley
  • Ezekiel Elliott
  • Nick Chubb
  • Jonathan Taylor
  • Travis Kelce
  • Tyreek Hill
  • Austin Ekeler
Remember, we will quote a few of the better replies in the article.

This will close July 7, at 10:00 AM Eastern.

Right now, I think you go with Diggs because he's neck and neck -- or slightly ahead of -- Jones in terms of value at his position and you need to know with certainty what Aaron Rodgers is doing in order to evaluate Jones and Adams properly, especially if you're spending your first-round pick on them. You can't evaluate either's output, because you don't know who will be throwing to them. Adams should theoretically be more affected by Rodgers's absence than Jones, so I'll say you can eliminate Adams, and leave Jones into compare with Diggs due to position scarcity and that he won't be as affected by Jordan Love starting as Adams would be.

So that leaves Jones and Diggs. One guy you can evaluate out of the three is Diggs, who is in for an huge workload again. He outscored Jones by about 3.5 PPG last year in PPR and his median score was 20.7 compared to Jones's 15.9 (if I'm doing it right). That's nearly 4 PPG higher, and even though you need two RBs, I still think Diggs is the better value here.

All good choices here but I would go with Diggs here due to the uncertainty of the Rodgers situation. If I knew for sure he was playing for Green Bay then I would go with Adams, but in this case it seems better to go with the safer pick.

That said, since you get the next pick also, I’d probably take Adams also and hammer the RBs later.

I am going with Jones because I think he will catch a lit of balls this year regardless of who is the QB.

Diggs here for me.   Proven, low risk upside.

I have Najee Harris ranked higher than Jones.

If I had to draft today I'm taking Calvin Ridley.  Julio is gone and Pitts is going to be a fantastic compliment in the passing game - a dynamic weapon that defenses absolutely have to account for but as a rookie TE with a huge learning curve he's not going to command much more than 100 targets from a vet QB that's going to want to trust his intended target.  There is also no running game to fear taking the ball out of Ryan's hands and the defense isn't going to do their part either.  The only real risk for RIdley is Ryan's age/arm but there hasn't really been any sign of dropoff yet.

If I knew Rodgers was staying in GB the pick is Adams by a mile but can't fool around with risk at 1.12

Diggs and Jones. Target Dillon later as a handcuff, who may have also have some stand-alone value in bye weeks, ala Jamaal.

I’ll take Diggs. Also, if it’s a 12-team league, I won’t sweat the decision as much since I can take 2 of these 3.
