Wow, thought this was just last year, not 2 years ago. The old man hung on but it looks like this is it. Taking him to the hospital later today, it might be the last time he sees his house. Stage 4 diagnosed last month and the ####in insurance companies have been dicking around with approval for chemo. MiL can't care for him anymore at home. Not even sure if he's strong enough for chemo now. Gonna be a tough day. Thanks guys. Waiting outside my wife's work to drive her to the hospital. Last we heard they're considering life support. Tough old dude but at 82, with a pacemaker, one lung and just off his third heart attack 2 weeks ago we knew it wouldn't be long.

Thanks. Just hoping to be able to keep my emotions in check today. Both of my parents went suddenly so I don't have a lot of experience with this.:(
Hang in there, jamny. Let us know if there's anything we can do.
My dad's 92 and just found out he probably has kidney cancer. Doc asked if it was cancer did he want treatment. Dad said yes because my poor dementia-laced mom is so reliant on him and I'm wondering if he can handle chemo at this stage and how much help he would be to mom while undergoing chemo or whatever. It been a really crazy couple weeks around here with several trips to the ER in the middle of the night and the VA is really dragging their feet on the biopsy, but supposedly an 80% chance its cancer. Death is a horrible, messy thiing.Wow, thought this was just last year, not 2 years ago. The old man hung on but it looks like this is it. For a Marvel superhero movie it was pretty good, I guess, bu I'm missing out of the effusive praise it garnersI'm here and sorta ready to draft!
Black Panther was good, but not life changing. Maybe because I'm white, IDK.
I'm not a huge comic book movie guy so I liked that BP was pretty much self-contained without too many characters or references to previous events in the Marvel universe. My family is African-American so the movie signified a lot more for them. My daughter has seen it three times already. For a Marvel superhero movie it was pretty good, I guess, bu I'm missing out of the effusive praise it garners
Leave a list, fartass
