Pistol cleaning supplies (1 Viewer)

Ben & Jerry's

I just picked up a Ruger sp101 revolver and need to buy some cleaning/maintainence supplies.

Here is what I have in my cart. Tell me which items are unnecessary and what I am missing.

Hoppes No.9 Bore cleaning solvent (16oz/$9.99)

Hoppes No.9 Synthetic Blend lubricating oil (2.25oz/$4.99)

RamRodz barrel and breech cleaners (200pk/$12.45)

An item that looked interesting with great reviews was Grizzly Grease non-toxic CLP 4oz/$14.99

Bore brush or bore snake ?

Silicone cleaning cloth ?

Thanks for the input.

I RARELY use solvents of any kind.  If you pay attention and clean it after each use, the lube oil is enough.  Assuming the barrel and breech cleaners are little cloths....those 2 things and the bore snake (i've grown to prefer for every type of gun) is enough.  The silicone cleaning cloth is unnecessary.

The RamRodz would take the place of using jag/patches.

I tend to agree about the need for harsh solvents.

Would the bore snake eliminate the need for a bristled bore brush ?

Any thoughts on the Grizzly grease ?
