Sounds like Caldwell.I honestly don't know any Bengals fan that likes him.Ben McAdoo lost control of his team after less than 2 years and was fired. Marvin Lewis has lost control of his team for at least 5 years and continues to coach.
It used to be 'he's cheap as hell' for most things. Does Marv work for scale?Sounds like Caldwell.
My team is owned by 92 year old woman who may not know which day it is. What is Mike Brown’s excuse?
Right, I’ve heard he won’t fire anyone under contract because he hates paying a settlement or dead money to someone he’s fired. Nobody has sympathy for plight of the billionaire but I imagine the Brown family has the lowest net worth after you subtract the value of the franchise. As one of the least valuable the franchises that’s around $2,000,000,000. Have compassion, folks. It used to be 'he's cheap as hell' for most things. Does Marv work for scale?
I would love for all teams to be fully healthy but I think most teams are missing key players at this point in the season. They play to their competition. That's who they are. The Ravens and Patriots are likely going to have a battle on their hands to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Of course the injury to Shazier could change a lot.
Regardless of Baltimore outcome, #1 seed will still be on the line.Hopefully the Steelers can hold off the Ravens and go into the NE game with #1 seed on the line.
Oh totally agree. I wasn't trying to use that as an excuse. I actually believe the Steelers will beat the Ravens next week and the Patriots/Steelers game will be an exciting game (unlike the playoffs). The Patriots in my opinion are on another level compared to the Steelers (with or without Shazier). They have been for a long time. That doesn't mean that they're going to walk into Pittsburgh and blow them away.I would love for all teams to be fully healthy but I think most teams are missing key players at this point in the season.
If missing Shazier is the difference maker, Steelers are weaker than advertised.
Easy to speculate the Patriots would beat the Steelers by 4 TD's if they had Edleman, Hogan, Malcom Mitchel, Bennett, and 2 starting O-lineman that are out due to injury / IR.
Hopefully the Steelers can hold off the Ravens and go into the NE game with #1 seed on the line.
This makes no sense. You think being without your best defensive player shouldn't be a "difference maker?" You think that a team that might not be able to overcome the absence of one of their best players makes them "weaker than advertised?"I would love for all teams to be fully healthy but I think most teams are missing key players at this point in the season.

Might wanna include Baltimore too.BobbyLayne said:There seriously needs to be a summit between Art Rooney II, Mike Brown, the HCs, Team Captains...somebody has to step up & say enough with this rivalry bullshot, this has gotten out of control. This is bad football, dangerous, tarnishes the image of the game, turns fans into disgusted former supporters.
I’d suggest Goodell but that would imply leadership.
Agreed, it was horrendoustimschochet said:lol, huge Steelers fan here and that may be the worst holding call I've ever seen.
Big hits are great. Big hits at people’s heads, especially when the guy making the hit lined it up, not so great.HellToupee said:ESPN leads the broadcast about this physical rivalry and trying to hype the game & gets all offended when the game gets brutal
I'm with you. The big hits were illegal cause they were high They certainly warranted penalties & the upcoming fines but if you start suspending non-repeat offenders for every helmet-to-helmet collision you're not going to have enough players to play the game.Maybe I'm an old-school neanderthal jerk, but I don't think this game was the blood bath that Good Morning Football (and others?) where making it out to be - but I never try to interpret player's "intent to injure" other players. The Shazier injury was a fluke and the Mixon concussion could happen on any play in any game - that was a clean/legal tackle. The Burfict hit by JuJu was too high, was flagged, and he'll certainly get fined - but I didn't see "intent to injure". The taunting was the worst part of the play and I hated to see it - JuJu seems like a good guy and apologized afterwards, said he didn't even know it was Burfict at the time. Now, the apology shouldn't factor into any reduced fines/suspensions/whatever. But if that shot was 6 inches lower it's a perfect shoulder to chest block.
I don't even have a problem with the hit G. Iloka made on AB. Again, it was a clear head-shot and he'll be fined, maybe suspended, he may be a repeat offender so the fine/suspension might be more - whatever. What is any defender supposed to do in that situation? Is he supposed to pull up and let the best WR in the game tie the score? He's paid to try to break up that play and has to try to do that in a split second... maybe he was trying to hit AB in the chest... doesn't matter... in today's NFL that will be a fine/suspension and I'm good with that.
Won't matter when the Patriots win week 15.Way to go Marvin. Idiot.

You don't think the Patriots would have a harder time beating Pittsburgh without Brady, or Gronk? If one of them were unable to play in week 15, and the Steelers won, would that make NE "weaker than advertised?" Because they were unable to overcome the loss of a special player?
Well now I don't really get your point. Are you conceding that the loss of Shazier does "change things a lot"? Because you admit that the Patriots don't have any Shazier caliber players on defense. To me that sort of implies that you realize how good Shazier really is.Very true.
I think my objective was to "stir the pot" ... and I'd rather there be no excuses for who loses.
Patriots could lose their best defensive player and it would not "change a lot" like the poster (that I quoted) had stated about Shazier.
Granted NE doesn't really have any Shazier caliber players on defense so not fair to compare.
Someone needs to start a "Week 15 NE vs. PIT" thread so we can discuss this further.

the individuals who were making the comments at the game are examples of the immature fans that are a part of every franchise.
I am a retired military veteran father of five who now makes his living as a teacher. I even taught the current left tackle for the Steelers when he was at the Academy....
I thought I would let you know about one of the people you just labeled as less than human... because I committed the sin of rooting for the teams that represent the city where I was born.
Good night.
