Plaxico Burress (1 Viewer)

Early in the 2nd quarter, I see Plax going over the middle and getting laid out by Laron Landry. Plax sits out the rest of the game, and is just a shell of himself for the rest of the season.

Have a good season guy.

ETA: 2 catches, 14 yards, 0 TD.

Rogers won't be starting, and likely won't be facing Burress in coverage.
Plaxico Burress (ankle) is not on the Giants' Week 1 injury report.

Burress has practiced at full tilt for four days straight and will start Thursday vs. Washington. He'll see a lot of Carlos Rogers in coverage. Rogers is coming off two torn knee ligaments and Plax could have a big night.
Rotoworld does not agree with you.
I wrote that before I knew that Springs wouldn't be starting.

7 catches for 98 yards.....not a bad first half for Burress
The owner in my league (whom I am facing and has Portis) did not submit his lineup, maybe luck is on my side this year
Lame, I would hate it if people in my league didn't set their lineups....It would completely ruin my week. So if anyone in my league wants to ruin my week, now you know how....haha!
It is lame, I agree. But I am the commisioner and I sent out an email on Tuesday saying that this is the only week I would remind people to make NFL pool/survivor picks as well as set their lineups due to the Thursday game. I wasn't going to email him again, it's his responsibility.

perfect. typical... can never get it right. lol. started boldin and housh over plax this week. wonderful.

Would have liked a touch cause I seemed to have TD Aversion Syndrome last year but I can't complain about 13 pts. on yardage.

Watched the game, don't know exactly what his stats are, maybe 10 for 123, can't remember if he caught something after that.

Thoughts going through my brain in the first half, where he basically had most of his receptions and yardage is if this game doesn't get tighter, he'll end up with minimal stats in the 2nd half. It's pretty much what happened.

As far as Plaxico, he's as good as anyone in the league minus Randy Moss and TO if healthy. If you told me he plays 16 games, I don't hesitate to draft him No. 3, he's that good.

I own him in a PPR league, actually one in compete in with a group of other great guys from FBG in versus other notable fantasy football sites and started him and I'm happy, even without a TD but let's not get overly crazy. Last year he started off as a monster and during the regular season, he kind of vanished on us.

I'm not saying trade him while he's high or anything like that, I'm just saying start him while you got him and let's see what's going on. Good start for sure.

Plax tied his career high for receptions in the first game of the season. We may be seeing what the true effect of Shockey leaving the offense means. Plax could be in for a monster year.

I don't think this is the point. If you look at last year before he got hurt, he already was a monster with Shockey or without. The entire gig depends on can he play at this level for 16 games. If he does, there's no telling what he can do. Manning loves the guy, it's so easy to see. To say he's a must start any game he's healthy is such an understatement......he just has to stay healthy.

:lmao: Fact: when Springs is healthy, Rogers is the 3rd CB, at least until he's fully back up to speed from his injury.

You sound :shortbus: when you gloat while being obviously misinformed.

LOL exactly. This dude started talking smack, only his information on the WAS secondary was old/incorrect.And now instead of taking his medicine, he's decided to compound the problem by pointing the misinformed finger at someone else.

Um no, misinformed would be you, Tatum Bell.

Plax usually puts up most his stats in one half. He rarely puts together 4 SUPER SOLID quarters of production. I don't know what people are doing sitting plaxico. He is a must start in all league formats. Especially over Boldin, ppr or not. He is a big time red zone target for eli. That alone makes him a must play. Plax looked great. Eli looked swell. Plax juggled a couple balls that hit him on the hands in stride. Focused on the ball and lassoed those 2-3 balls back into his arms and body, all while having a defender pasted on him. Incredible.Ran good routes. Caught a ball on the sideline. Most of his catches were in the middle of the field. Eli sees the route and delivered the ball.
