Plaxico forecast (1 Viewer)

I like him. He gets a lot of red zone looks. He's scored in 3 of 5 games this year.

His yardage can be up or down, as it seems he goes from many targets to few targets, but I like his consistancy around the goal line.

I have watched all of the Giants action this season. I have to say that Plaxico no longer belongs in that upper echelon that he was typically drafted to be in.

Eli looks to Toomer as often as Plax (more?). Or maybe it just seems that way. Shockey is getting more involved with the offense. And, of course, Tiki is a threat.

I honestly think that, while not high on "name value," Toomer is just as good of a play as Plax.

(Take this all for what it's worth, as I've been wrong plenty of times :bag: )

What's Plaxico's role in the offense thru the rest of the year? Has Eli lost faith in him?
He will have some big games and some average games. Shockey is moving much better on his bad wheel.. so I suspect he will draw some attention away from Plax. I would view him as a great #2 fantasy scorer from here on out. Much more favorable matchups coming up, though.. he will be in the 10 to 20 pt. range consistently.

Code:
1 2 3 5 6 T C % Yds YPC TDAmani Toomer 8 12 5 8 5 38	26 68.4 306 11.8 3 Plaxico Burress 8 9 4 8 8 37	22 59.5 330 15.0 3
These stats seem to back that idea up. Targets are pretty even, game to game and total. Plaxico has a higher YPC, but Toomer catches a higher % of targets. Both have scored 3 times.

After looking at Gray's strength of schedule going forward, I think that NYG WR's have the best schedule in terms of both regular fantasy season and fantasy playoffs. Probably means that Eli is the most solid player to have going forward but I've got Plaxico targeted as a trade candidate and might have to give consideration to Toomer as well.

It seems that Plaxico still gets a lot of targets and will put up many solid games, but he has several things working against him. First, his QB is quite erratic and often overthrows him. Second, Tiki is the primary weapon in the rushing and passing game. Third (and to a lesser extent), he is an :censored: and has a head-strong coach... bad combo.

I drafted him, but quickly became sick of all the stuff mentioned above... so I traded him for Darrel Jackson. I feel a lot better about my team now.
