I guess it all depends on the league, but I can't imagine making tough roster decisions to keep a kicker through his bye week.I have been more than pleased with Tynes, and forced myself to make some tough roster decisions this week to keep him on my team. That being said, I do like both Barth and Seabass.
Would you drop Tynes? He is averaging nearly 12 points per game. He has 116 fantasy points on the season...exactly 3 points less than my #1 wr, Julio Jones.I guess it all depends on the league, but I can't imagine making tough roster decisions to keep a kicker through his bye week.I have been more than pleased with Tynes, and forced myself to make some tough roster decisions this week to keep him on my team. I would drop him, unless I had a free roster spot and felt there was no one else in free agency that had even remote value. I certainly would not make tough roster decisions to keep him. A hot kicker is nice to have, but roster spots are valuable and I am confident that I can find a good kicker with a great match up in free agency if I do not have a hot kicker.Would you drop Tynes? Odd statement. What don't you get? He's the #1 kicker in FF, totaling 116 points (avg 11.6)-this compared to Gostkowski (#2 kicker) @ 103 points. Both are great to have on your team. Frankly, Tynes has flat out won me a few games. When your 'afterthought' kicker puts up the same points as Willis McGahee, Alfred Morris, Mike Wallace and Torrey Smith, you hang onto him. The most important part though is that through 10 weeks he has outscored my opponent's kicker in all but one week. Most of time by more than 5 points. Having that kind of dominance at a position is huge.I don't get all the Tynes love. Gostkowski has been money pretty much every week.
Check back after the bye week. There are three kicker that could catch him or pass him this week.Just checked for ROS ranking and Dodds has Tynes as PK3, Herman as PK10.Odd statement. Tynes has been money as well. Also, Gostkowski was drafted before I usually go for kickers where Tynes could probably be grabbed in the last round of the draft or as a free agent afterwards.'Raiderfan32904 said:I don't get all the Tynes love. Gostkowski has been money pretty much every week.
Carrying two kickers and two D for the playoffs. Graham/Hanson, Den/NYJ. More valuable than end of bench crap at this point, now that byes are over
Brees finishes drives ... Hartley has only attempted eleven fg's this year, 30th in the league ... as opposed to Tynes, who has attempted damn near triple that amount (thirty one).Hartley is averaging barely six ppg, and has only cracked double digits once. Extra Points? Yep, he'll get 'em ... but he is one of the least used fg booters out there. The Saints will be playing Oakland of course and the Raiders are giving up the 2nd most FFPA to kickers. Hartley's probably on the WW.
Just an idea for this week.
Defintely.Drafted Byrant as the 5th kicker taken (after Akers, Crosby, Gostkowski, Hartley) and I've started him every week. During his week 7 bye, I dropped Bryant, picked up Dawson who got me a fantastic 1 point, and thankfully was able to pick up Bryant the following week.Anyway there is nothing like being able to plug in a good kicker on a good offense that plays in good weather every week. Every single week the #1 kicker is a free agent, good luck trying to figure out who it'll be.'flranger said:Can't believe no one has mentioned Matt Bryant. Very consistent on a team that can't run the ball but will move it up and down the field. Plays in a dome. Been great for me so far.
Boom or bust games for this dude. I'd rather my kicker be a little more consistent. I like Tucker alot, he's only 4 pts behind Gostkpwski in my league. Ravens move the ball enough and stall out enough times to make this guy playoff worthy going forward.'Lavachebeadsman said:Connor Barth has singlehandedly won games for me. I've added and dropped him several times, but in a good matchup, get him in your lineup.
