She was the last really big playmate IMO. Between the guess ads, the pinups in Playboy, the chicken fry cafe she was discovered in waiting tables, it all was a grand story for her success.I'm sure I am overlooking someone but I really don't remember the name of an actual playmate much after she posed. Hef had that trio of girlfriends and they embraced reality TV but obviously that wasn't enough.

Sara Underwood is still pretty well known, but I don't know if she really *does* anything. The above-mentioned Kelly Monaco has had a pretty nice soap opera career, and Jenny McCarthy and Anna Nicole Smith both posed after Pam. But yeah most of them just married rich athletes or actors or had bit parts in TV shows at best. Or they just kept taking off their clothes for money til the offers dried up.
