Players near threshholds week 17 (1 Viewer)

Teams will often feed the ball to a player who is close to a season or career milestone in week 17, especially if their game isn't meaningful. Who's out there who might be a good play due to this effect?

Arian Foster and Jamaal Charles are in competition for the rushing title; both could hit 1500 yards (currently at 1436 and 1380, respectively). Charles needs 165 yards from scrimmage to reach 2000.

RBs near 1000 rushing yards:

Blount needs 59 yards

Green-Ellis needs 72

Tomlinson needs 86

F.Jackson needs 108

T.Jones needs 121

WRs near 1000 receiving yards:

Austin needs 21 yards

Maclin needs 36

Johnny Knox needs 40

Brandon Marshall needs 83

QBs near 4000 passing yards:

Eli Manning needs 241 yards

Tom Brady needs 299

Aaron Rodgers needs 307

Carson Palmer needs 335

Anybody got anything else?

I had to look this up twice, because I couldn't believe it: Brandon Lloyd leads Roddy White by 48 yards for the receiving yardage title.

Jamaal Charles needs 165 Yards From Scrimmage to reach 2000.

On the other hand, he is on the verge of breaking Jim Brown's 47-year-old record for highest Yards Per Carry in a season (6.402). He's currently at 6.389, so if he gets a few big runs they might sit him for the rest of the day.

He would need:1 carry for 10 yards,2 for 16,3 for 23,4 for 29,5 for 35,6 for 42,7 for 48 . . .Etc.(Brown rushed 291 times for 1863 yards; Charles has rushed 216 times for 1380 yards.)

Tampa Mike needs 76 yds to get a 1000, and he needs just one more TD to take the franchise record (currently tied with Galloway).

I can't deny your logic but will the Chiefs actually do this? They need to be ready for the Jets, which means both health and ripe, so it makes sense to play Charles for a half or so but does the record really factor in?

I read something about how Charles sent a tweet or something saying that he wants the rushing title (he's currently 56 yards behind Arian Foster) and might play a lot Sunday.I just searched, and this isn't where I originally saw it, but here's the quote. I'm not sure whether to put any stock into it.

C. Johnson needs 1175 yards to get the target of 2500 he set for himself at the start of the season.
I'd happily settle for 175 and three scores.

How many RBs have rushed for 1000 yards for 3 different teams? The only one I can recall is Ricky Watters.

Anyway, Thomas Jones has a chance to join him on the list.

Charles had the record in the 1st half but he was stuffed in his last few plays and he ended up finishing the year at 6.38 YPC.His final carry (a 1 yard loss) cost him the record.
