I am constantly in this debate with a friend who is a fellow owner in a dynasty league.

He says that every running back on his team is better than my best one. IMO, he only has one RB that can even have an argument against my second best RB. It may be a childish argument, but that's what guys do best.

In terms of fantasy production, I don't think there is any doubt that Rudi is the best. But, as far as an NFL back, who is the best of this bunch?

I won't tell you who is on which team until after I get some results.

If you'd like to rank them or give comments/opinions on who the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th best of the bunch is, feel free.

Thanks in advance.

When healthy, Duece is the best of this bunch IMO, with Rudi a close second...

Fantasy wise, switch them, with Taylor, Addai then MB3...

Hard to know where MBIII stands until he gets a shot at the full time gig.

Deuce was my vote.

I had a hard time choosing between Rudi and Deuce. I went with Rudi. The guy is just too consistent year in and year out. He's about the least flashy of the group, but I think he's the best back....

Until any of those other guys has as long and as productive a career as McAllister has had, Deuce is hands-down the best of this group.

I believe the question is impossible to answer without additonal perspective.

With Deuce and Rudi, the bulk of their careers are already done. And they are good, solid careers.

Addai and Barber, their careers are in front of them and no one really knows how it will turn out. But Addai is in a great situation. But that doesn't make him a better player, but he certainly may be able to put up great stats.

I think the Bells have shown they are mediocre backs at best. I suspect Mike Bell would not have gotten much attention if he was on any team other than Devenr. Tatum looks like he is destine to be change of pace back.

So, if I want to look at the entire career or potential career, I would say Deuce and Rudi are tops since they have already done it.

If I want production go forward, including 5 years from now, I would have to go with Addai and Barber.

If I wanted just next year FF production, I'd probably go with Rudi, although Deuce, Addai and Barber could all be good.

I think the Bells are definately the bottom of the list no matter how you look at this.

:P solid, consistent, almost never misses a game due to injury.

I went with Deuce over Rudi (barely) because I know what kind of a monster line Rudi runs behind.

Is the question which RB was the best RB over the course of his career, or which RB is the best RB as of today? Because I don't think it matters much that Deuce was a much better RB at his peak than Rudi was, because Rudi's better now.

Based on what? The fact that Rudi runs behind a better line or that Deuce has to share a backfield with a pretty darn good back.Rudi's second best YPC season is equal to Deuce's career average.

:2cents: Based on the context here I would think the question is who is the better fantasy back right now?.

If in fact that is the Question, the answer is obvious. Rudi Johnson.

The fact that he gets more touches and has a better OL only make it more clear that he is the better back.

Deuce hasn't been very good the last three years. Rudi Johnson has. He's got nearly double the rushing yards over that time. And Deuce's career average is meaningless, which was pretty much the impetus for my original question.

What exactly has McAllister done for a prolonged period of time that Rudi has not?Rudi

McAllister

Rudi is the answer.
Rush for 1000+ behind a makeshift line? Rush for 1500+ behind a makeshift line? Maintain a 4.0+ YPC behind said offensive line.

I voted T. Bell because "Trade Advice" should be posted elsewhere.
UH....trade advice? It's merely a pissing contest between friends. I just want to show him that he's wrong. I never mentioned anything about a trade. Pull your thong out of your sphincter please. :lmao:

Well, the poll has pretty much settled it. Thanks guys. I'll rub it in his face tomorrow.

My team:

Rudi

Deuce

MBIII

His team:

Addai

Taylor

The 2 Bells

He still believes that Addai is the best of the bunch going forward (and I'm pretty sure he thinks currently as well). But, this is coming from the guy that drafted M Bell in the second round of an initial Dynasty draft last year!!

Going forward I would agree with him. Addai is the best of the bunch because it's a dynasty league. Deuce has a few years left, Rudi has a couple years beyond that.

You never answered the questions, and my comment about YPC was just sorta thrown out there. It wasn't a response to your comment. However, if one of a guy's best seasons is only as good as someone else's career average, that is meaningful considering Deuce really isn't all that old.
