PokerGuys - "free" poker? Bueller? (1 Viewer)

Shot in the dark here, but is there ANYWHERE on the internet (phone app preferred, I guess) where you can find a solid Texas Hold 'em game where it's not just like everyone going all-in every other hand with absolutely nothing?

I mean, half of the idiots on the WSOP app (which is highly regarded and populated) treat it like bingo or keno. It's so frustrating.

I miss the days of playing on PokerStars, etc.... can't afford to play "real" poker anymore.

Just looking for a free option where the majority of the players play straight-up and not like a bunch of raging donkeys.

Like I said... shot in the dark. TIA.

There is a pokerstars app where you can play for free. You do run into some bingo players there as well

I really don't think you are going to find anything like that. When you are playing for free, people are going to play crazy. I don't think there's any way around it other than to get a group of friends to play there with you.

Yeah I tried free PS a few times. Been a few years. Found the same problems there.

You're probably right. Was hoping someone found a place where people actually liked to hone their skills. I just can't see how it'd be any fun to just play junk and hope for the best.

Had played this in past. Ditto the above thoughts. Seemed like mostly solid plays, some crazy, but then again, you get that in cash too.

Without money involved poker is really a pretty stupid game, and I loved to play back in the ps days.

Even low stakes poker sucks. The sweet spot for poker has always been when the money matters just enough to raise your heart rate, but never enough to make you sweat your bills

Sometimes you're just looking for something to do on your break at work. It can be fun to play poker a little bit with no money involved, to hone your skills.Not all of us make every single decision in their life based on whether it will be +EV. Sometimes a game is just a game.

Yeah, single income, two kids, living in SoCal... can't be tossing money at online poker like I used to when I was a bachelor in a condo without a care in the world.

Still have the hankering for a good poker game, though. So far the WSOP app has been pretty good but over the past week or so I've almost thrown my phone against the wall

Haven't had time to play but a few hands with the Live Hold 'Em Pro app but need to explore a bit.... I was only able to get to 5-person tables...
