HOW TO ADD PLAYERS TO THE LIST

First, you can add a name to the current poll by clicking Other and telling me who you think is better than all players on the current list.  (Please tell me that you clicked the other button in the reply... not just the name of your nominee)

Second, in rounds where no one has clicked the other button to add a player, I will add a single player nominated in the comments.  This will be the player with the most support to be added in the comments (total users nominating that player)... in the event of a tie, it will go to the player first nominated in the comments.

Demaryius Thomas received 2 nominations and so is added this round.

If I'm drafting #1 and walk away with OBJ, Luck and Henry I'm feeling pretty good for the long haul.  Might take allen over luck or Henry but two of those three are making it on my team.

I was thinking about the same thing, though I voted Keenan here.  Two of these players and the #1 overall looks like a great start.

If I'm drafting 12th I'm extremely happy. After 2 rounds I have 3 players ;)

We all seem to have that player or pick we can't understand why other people value so highly. For me that player is Henry. I truly would not vote for him or pick in first 4-5 rounds of a startup.

In the first 4-5 rounds or picks? We are on round 2, so technically we are still within yuor time period. I agree, I would pick him in the first 5 rounds as well... I'd be happy to pick him round 4 or 5

Before that... no not really. Maybe that's what you mean, you'd pick him round 4-5 but why is he on the list for round 2-3? I wouldn't really be too excited to have him as my RB2 in a start up.

Sorry I am the typo king, can't even understand what I write sometimes.

In this case I left out the "not" between the would and vote.

Pretty sure Dismattle takes the trophy when it comes to lack of comprehensible posts

I don't see it too much either. I'd take a flier on him as my RB3 or even 4, so maybe round 5 I'm not drafting my RB3 or 4. I certainly wouldn't want him as my RB2 or Flex....

What do people see in Henry?

Murray will continue to be the guy

He's only 29... a certain person in the GB thread is advocating that AP has 2-3 years left and he's 31. Murray is a beast and could very well play at a high level until he's 32-33. Likely not, but it's likely that Henry takes a back seat to Murray for the next 1-2 years at least. So then Henry's a good option? I don't really see it that way. It was said in the last thread that some owners don't really look past 3 years. In 3 years is Henry going to be performing like a RB2? It's possible, but it's equally possible Murray plays, or TEN brings in a new rookie in 2-3 years and Henry is in a timeshare.

I guess I just see a lot better RB options than Henry... even some of the rookies in this class; many who will be in line to produce a lot more than Henry within the next 1-2 years

I'm surprised that Allen is overshadowing Jeffery as much as he is.  Only 2 yrs of difference in age (ages 27 and 25, both guys easily have 4-5+ yrs left, both in their prime) so that portion should be mostly inconsequential.

Jeffery:

2013: 89/1421/7
2014: 85/1133/10
2015 : 54/807/4 in 9 games (on pace for 96/1434/7)

Last year (2016) was definitely a down year, but he's a top tier WR that is more proven than Keenan.  We don't know where he's going to end up, but we do know that he's going to cost some team a lot of money and no one is going to pay that and not plan on featuring him.  Good chance he continues being a 90/1300/8 type of WR (270 pts in ppr).

I can see the argument for Keenan over Jeffery, but I'm just surprised it's as one sided as it is.

I think Alshon blows him away on pure talent so I can see your point.

But whereas Allen has a lot of injuries  and more severe injuries than Alshon has ever had I think people will ding Alshon more for injuries as they see Allen's as more fluke like and Alshon's soft tissue injuries as constant thorn in your side. Also factoring in Alshon is a suspension risk and we don't know where he'll be playing as other negatives, but again based on pure talent I personally think Alshon whips him.

I don't know what the success rate is on presumed RB's in waiting but I can't imagine it's that outstanding.

Murray is on last year of guarantees in his deal so that might work itself out after this season but a year is still a year. For the price tag of Henry I want a guy with at least a shot of being usable now.

Past all of that I'm not sold on the talent. Even if you removed Demarco from the equation I like talent level of at least 5 RB's in this class alone more and we are a long way off on voting that will get far enough to cover them and talent is where those who like Henry and my opinions probably have the biggest difference, more so than his situation.

I'll have to admit being an outlier on Henry, as I asked for him to be added (not alone in that).  I've voted for Luck at least the past four votes, so have yet to cast a vote for Henry.  However, if I'm in a startup I'm going to choose talent over situation and not be deterred by Murray's final contact year.  I'm assuming Fournette and Cook are off the board at 1 and 2, so for me the next RB on my list will probably be Henry or Miller.  As no one else has mentioned Miller either, that probably explains why I have the #1 pick in every league every year :P

I can always find a serviceable RB for a year (gap management) - an older guy that start up owners might shun til later rounds, but I'd be pretty happy, as Oz stated, to have Luck OBJ and Henry in the fold after three rounds.

Voted Luck again. After Luck my next 3 are, in no particular order yet, Rodgers, Kelce and Reed. Looks like it might be awhile before I vote for a RB or WR again.
