Ok so there are a lot of people that like the perfect draft articles, even though they annually come out after 90% of leagues draft (but I digress). The last 2 years, the target QB was David Garrard. Yeah, that David Garrard. The powers that be can't possibly throw David Garrard's name out there yet again as the QB to target in the perfect draft articles can they?

So here is your turn to make a prediction. Who do you think that FBG will select as the perfect draft QB in a standard 12 team, 6 pt all-TD's league?

For the record, I'm not asking who YOU think should be the perfect draft target QB, I'm asking who you think FBG will select as the perfect draft target QB.

David Garrard actually had a nice year last season.

Not really. He was great half the weeks and atrocious the other half. If you had him in a best ball league he was great. If you have magical powers and started him in a QBBC on the exact right weeks he was probably great but that's not usually how QBBC play out.

It won't be one. It's going to be Tony Romo or Ben Roethlisberger. And, I'm betting that it will say to wait until 5 or 6 of the top 8 QBs are selected and then pounce on Romo or Roethlisberger in the 6th.

I wonder if this is the year where the Perfect Draft article will finally not suggest waiting on drafting a QB.

This year seems to be the year to find value in rounds 2-4 on a top 6 QB.

Big Ben without a doubt...

1. Late bye week: so they will say you don't really have to worry about backing up your QB, in fact you could only draft one and then grab a WW guy a week or two prior to his bye that has a nice matchup.

2. Schedule: PIT schedule is pretty cake this year (AFC South and NFC West) and this is how they finish the season after their late bye:

12 at KCC

13 CIN

14 CLE

15 at SF

16 STL

17 AT CLE

not sure it gets much better than that

3. PIT Defense should keep the PIT offense on the field plenty and in good field position. Good return game.

4. He is going after Schaub right now in most drafts.

Roethlisberger seems like the obvious choice. There are 7 QBs who have consistently finished in the top 10 in ppg the past few seasons. 6 of them are being drafted among the top 7 QBs in (along with Vick) in the first 4 rounds or so, and the other is being drafted around QB10, a round or two later than all of the others. That's Big Ben, who has finished top 7 in ppg in 3 of the past 4 years (all except 2008).

Why draft a QB in rounds 2-4 when there are a handful of guys available in rounds 5-7 that have a chance to outperform them?
