I was wondering if any of you recall CP'S character names from last season.
Please refresh my memory.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?sectio...&id=2537529Portis keeps teammates loose, and his eccentric outfits played a
part. In Week 8, "Southeast Jerome" appeared, with a black cape,
shaggy black wig, Lone Ranger mask and fake gold teeth. Two weeks
later, Portis introduced the world to "Sheriff Gonna Getcha,"
wearing big glasses and a sheriff's star and announcing he was
investigating the disappearance of "Southeast Jerome." Other
personas included "Dolla Bill" (lime-colored leisure suit,
purple-spiked wig), "Rev. Gonna Change" (black-and-white wig,
red-and-black tie), and "Bro Sweets" (yellow wig, heart-shaped
sunglasses).
Great, now we're attributing LHUCKS' Pac-10 schtick to Portis?Couch PotatoLHUCKSRedmanJoe Bryant
I do wonder what it would be like to roll around in that guy's head for a day . . .![]()
Agreed redman. What always has meYeah, he's definitely a free spirit. What made me cringe at first was my concern last year that his characters would provide bulletin board material for other teams, but he's done a remarkably good job in avoiding controversy and instead has really just done it for amusement or to make fun of himself.

Only thing that would be better is if Tiki Barber did this.He said he did it to take attention off the team when they were struggling and it seems to have worked very well in that regard.J
So, does this mean he only does it when the team is struggling?Agreed redman. What always has meYeah, he's definitely a free spirit. He did it for basically the entire second half of the season last year, during good times and bad.thatguy said:So, does this mean he only does it when the team is struggling?Joe Bryant said:Agreed redman. What always has meredman said:Yeah, he's definitely a free spirit. He says he started it because of that. Then it took off and NFL Network picked it up each week and he kept doing it.thatguy said:So, does this mean he only does it when the team is struggling?Joe Bryant said:Agreed redman. What always has meredman said:Yeah, he's definitely a free spirit. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...6092801616.htmlPortis said that a team employee who helped pick out his wardrobe last season is no longer working at Redskins Park and that his inspiration has dried up lately.
"I really don't feel like it's needed," Portis said. "Everybody is looking forward to it and expecting it. Once it's in expectancy, it's hard to come up with something that people are going to enjoy and like."
. . . says the guy with an avatar of Val Kilmer dressed up as cowboy . . .Grown men thinking it is cool and funny for another grown man to play dress up. What's next?

Vote for SantanaCP = Napoleon Dynamite
Portis came dressed up today, fresh off his first 100-yard game of the season and with the team on a two-game winning streak. This time he didn't invent the alter-ego, just barrowed one from cinema.
I'll give him credit, the dude had Napoleon Dynamite down. He had the tight Wranglers on, in some hideous cut from the 80s, and some awful black moon boots. Portis was sporting a ruffled blond wig and some wire-rimmed shades and, for the kicker, had on a t-shirt that said:
VOTE
FOR
SANTANA
It was just like the VOTE FOR PEDRO deal that Nap wore in the movie. Portis spoke with a slight, high voice, just like the character. He dropped a few Uncle Rico bombs during his responses to questions and joked about needing someone to take to the prom. When asked if LaVar might be a fitting date this weekend, Portis/ND said something about LaVar not being a lady, so he had to look elsewhere.
So there you have it. All's well in Redskins Country. We're now back to abnormal on Thursdays, which, well, is really the norm.
Nice one Lee Van Cliff. . . says the guy with an avatar of Val Kilmer dressed up as cowboy . . .Grown men thinking it is cool and funny for another grown man to play dress up. What's next?![]()
