Report: Portis headed for I.R.
The Washington Post reports that Clinton Portis is expected to go on injured reserve, ending his season.
Ladell Betts will be Washington's primary carrier the rest of the way. Portis never truly got comfortable in Al Saunders' offense after hurting his shoulder in the preseason, topping 100 yards only once. Fantasy owners don't want to hear it, but Portis' injury will have positive consequences long-term.
