Portis (1 Viewer)

What type of numbers do you think we should expect out of him this season? He was undervalued in many drafts due to his injury.

I'd go eith 1200-1500 with about 8 TDs. He was a stud last year and didn't outproduce this by much. He's also got the possibility of getting injured again with his shoulder not 100 percent, so I am factoring in maybe missing 1-3 games. Plus Gibbs is the type of game not to wear him into the ground with Betts and Duckett behnind him. Going on what I saw last week, it seems like Gibbs will remove Portis whenever a game is out of reach (either way) so he'll likely lose most of his possible garbage time points.

Plus, I think Portis honestly doesn't hold his stats too highly. He knows he's good. He wants to win and be healthy.

He will still have over 1800 all purpose yards and atleast 12 td's with a ceiling of 2100 all purpose and 16 td's. Portis is my #2 rb I'd want on my team as of right now (behind LT).

i agree, portis will put up big numbers around what you've mentioned barring any big injury. from what i saw and read, portis held up pretty well last sunday.....i think in any game when a rb's team is up by 24 points in the 4th quarter, that team will sit their big back unless the game gets close again.....also, the houston game was portis' first full time duty since coming back from the injury. you probably would have seen portis another series or two if this wasn't his first game back....when he was in there, he was very reminiscent of priest holmes from a couple years ago.......i'm psyched, because i went out on a limb and grabbed him in the 1st round with the hope of a big payday..let's hope he keeps it up (knock on wood)....

Yeah!, He is my number two behind LT. I finally get to have them both this week.....

Do people still think Duckett is going to do anything this season barring another serious injury? Other than that -- :goodposting:

8 TDs? Thas it? He has 3 TDs already on only 29 touches of the football and 1.5 games. It hink he'll be closer to 14 than 8.

he said he's factoring in him missing time and losing carries to Betts in blowouts... i still think 8 is a little low... but hey, we've all got our differing projections/perspectivesand it's clear the shoulder is still a bit of an issue... i was under the impression that he reaggrivated it a little last week after that 74 yard reception... Betts ended up starting the next offensive drive, but Portis came back

Exactly what I was going to say...
