Post-Draft Bloom 100 (1 Viewer)

Would you put Montario Hardesty higher if Cleveland fixed their RT problem? I felt that the Browns really messed up by not drafting a talented OT which would have given them one of the best offensive lines in the league. I don't know if Jason Capizzi is any good because I've never seen him play. Tony Pashos was once almost decent years ago, John St. Clair was horrible last season and I think the only reason he signed with Cleveland was to maybe get his jersey on a BONE Thugs~N~Harmony CD cover. It seems like the right side of the line was horrible last year and I don't think that they have improved it to the point where it's not going to be the weak link again. Eric Ghiaciuc was horrible for the Bengals when he started so the depth is shaky at best.

I think that with the marginal offensive "skill" position players the only real saving grace would have been an elite offensive lineman which they missed out on in the draft. They can still address the RT spot, but I think that they feel like it's good enough. If they wised up then Hardesty would have to be valued much higher.

I don't know why you are hating on Ben Tate so much. The situation there is actually unclear, but in terms of creativity he's the type that can just keep it simple. One cut and go. He runs like a palette of bricks with legs and guys in the secondary don't know how to angle him so he'll stomp through for plenty of yards if the holes are there. I think that they see him as a goal line back especially when considering the fumblitis that plagues Slaton and Foster. If anything I think his rank suffers because it may be hard to project his touches based on the crowded backfield, but 22nd is too low when you think about his potential to be a touchdown vulture in that offense. You are basically putting 11 rookie WRs (4 TEs/McCluster) ahead of him and that just seems off to me knowing how rookie WRs actually produce in year 1.

I don't know if by far superior talents you are talking about the other rookie RBs drafted or the guys on his own team. I don't think that either group is full of far superior talents, but that's just me. In any case, what really matters is the guys on his own team and with that team it's about trust from the coaching staff. At best the trust factor has been inconsistent amongst that group, which puts Tate in a perfect position to just come in and bruise his way to consistent touches including the all important goal line duties for fantasy teams.

0 career fumbles in 4 years of SEC football. 678 carriers for 3321 yards and 24 TDs. He can tote the pill a lil bit.

do you really hate Earl Thomas that much to not include him in the top 100 or was it an oversight?

I am pretty sure I am going to be targeting Taylor Mays in my rookie drafts.

I think all the overrated/workout warrior talk has pushed his value down to the point where he might be underrated. When it's all said and done, a guy like that needs to wind up at SS or WLB, a la Thomas Davis, and a team won't let a guy with that skill set go until they have exhausted every possible spot for him. At either of those two spots, he can have serious value.

You have to love that he'll be an instant starter and the fact that San Diego was willing to give a king's ransom for Mathews, but behind a line that got little push last year (LT did have a point) and wasn't upgraded this offseason
XWhen you were missing two starting linemen for pretty much the entire season, and another for over a third of the season... their return is a MASSIVE upgrade over last years line.
thats a great point, i stand corrected.

No Burnett?
im not a big fan of drafting safeties in rookie drafts, especially guys who will be stationed in the deep middle. too many good one pop up on the WW each year to spend picks on any except those that have in the box profiles, or exceptional skillsets.

Bigby gets hurt often so a SS could be valuable in Green Bay. I doubt he'll be available on the WW. It is true many do show up on the WW during the season.
