Post-Draft Fantasy Rankings (Non-PPR) (1 Viewer)

  1. Leonard Fournette - JAX - RB - I think Coughlin molds the team around him. They got a FB in the draft, like the landing spot.
  2. Corey Davis - TEN - WR - He's the #1 receiver there now and can grow with Mariota.
  3. Christian McCaffrey - CAR - RB - We'll see. Love the talent, but not sure if Carolina will use him well. Don't think their coaching staff is very innovative.
  4. Joe Mixon - CIN - RB - Perfect team fit. Bad hombre for a team full of them. He's RB 1 from day 1, Gio could steal snaps.
  5. Mike Williams - LAC - WR - I actually like the landing spot. Allen gets hurt all the time, and the new coach has 0 ties to Tyrell. I see Mike Williams and Henry as TD machines for the LAC moving forward.
  6. Dalvin Cook - MIN - RB - Hate the landing spot. Don't think Zimmer can field a good offense. But I respect the talent.
  7. OJ Howard - TB - TE - Howard and Evans in the red zone. Sucks for Brate, but good for fantasy players.
  8. Kareem Hunt - KC - RB - I think he could take the RB1 role by mid season. Ware broke down over time, and Hunt is just better IMO.
  9. D'Onta Foreman - TEX - RB - I was surprised at first, but maybe the coaching staff really does want Miller to have less carries.  If Foreman can get 15+ carries a game he could be good.
  10. Jeremy McNichols - TB - RB - He probably should be higher. Wouldn't be shocked if he opened the year as the starter, and never lets Martin take it back.
  11. Jamaal Williams - GB - RB - They drafted 3 RBs, I think they might be looking to replace Montgomery no matter what they're saying. Williams has lots of potential.
  12. Juju Smith-Schuster - PIT - WR - Higher than most have him ranked, but I'm a homer. He's 20, Bryant is a risk, and a WR across from AB has a ton of potential.
  13. John Ross - CIN - WR - Could end up being the best WR in this class if he can stay healthy, but with the aggression in the AFC North I'd bet he gets hurt. Maybe even in practice.
  14. Samaje Perine - WAS - RB - Could take the RB1 role by the end of camp. He's much more talented than fat Rob with a similar size. Also, strong as an ox.
  15. Marlon Mack - IND - RB - He's a RB drafted by Indy. If Gore finally succumbs to father time, he could have tons of value.
  16. Zay Jones - BUF - WR - Ugh. Buffalo is where WRs go to fade into obscurity. But, Jones has talent, and maybe the coaching change will help.
  17. James Conner - PIT - RB - The backup to Leveon always has value. Also, he's 1 year removed from an MCL tear and cancer, so it's likely that he wasn't fully recovered last year. His best could still be ahead of him.
  18. Chris Godwin - TB - WR - I think he's one of the best players in this draft. It's a shame he's going to a loaded corps (Evans, Jackson, Howard, Brate, Godwin), but I think that in 2 years (when Jackson's contract can be dropped for 0 dead money), he'll be really good.
  19. Alvin Kamara - NO - RB - Well that sucks for him. If the rumors of trading Ingram are true, he could leap up the rankings, but it's a crowded backfield and I think he's just a 3rd down guy.
  20. Evan Engram - NYG - TE - Tweeners often fail. He could be the exception, but the NYG have a crowded pass catching group and TEs tend to develop slowly. I think he'll be overdrafted.
  21. David Njoku - CLE - TE - I'd rank him higher, but it's the Browns and they have 0 proven QB talent. Sorry Njoku, the predraft buzz was fun.
  22. Curtis Samuel - CAR - WR/RB - An offensive weapon. Almost ditto to McCaffrey, I don't see them using him well. Probably Ginn 2.0, end arounds and long bombs with 0 reliability.
  23. Donnel Pumphrey - PHI - RB - Philly got a RB! Just probably not the one people expected. I really want him to do well, that's why he's ahead of where he probably should be ranked. If their o-line can hold up, and Ryan Mathews goes down, he might get a shot.
  24. Gerald Everett - LAR - TE - McVay wants Jordan Reed 2.0 and he thinks he got him. Rumors were that he would have taken him early in the 1st round. Wut?! Either way, McVay was the TE coach in DC, so he knows his TEs. Could be a great value pick.
  25. Josh Reynolds - LAR - WR - If Everett doesn't work out, someone has to catch passes.
  26. Cooper Kupp - LAR - WR - Ditto. I put all 3 in a row because I think 1 of them works out and becomes the Rams #1 target over Austin and Woods.
  27. Adam Shaheen - CHI - TE - He's got talent, but he's raw and he's going to have Trubisky throwing to him. Not a great combo. And who knows who will be coaching there in a couple years. I don't think Fox makes it past 2 more years and I don't see Shaheen becoming a TE 1 by then.
  28. Joe Williams - SF - RB - If the Hyde hate rumors were true, Williams coule be in prime position to nab a high volume role in an up and coming offense.
  29. Wayne Gallman - NYG - RB - Will compete with Perkins for a starting role. I don't think he wins it.
  30. Jake Butt - DEN - TE - Like the talent, not the team.
  31. Bucky Hodges - MIN - TE - Ditto.
  32. Pat Mahomes II - KC - QB - Think he's the Qb with the most upside. That upside won't show itself for a couple years.
  33. Deshaun Watson - TEX - QB - He'll be the best early return on investment. He's got Nuk, Fuller and the Millers, could be a good situation even though I think that Bill Obrien is overrated when it comes to his QB prowess.
  34. Deshone Kizer - CLE - QB - Lots of upside, but he's got a long development process ahead of him.
  35. Malachi Dupre - GB - WR - He's a Green Bay WR. He could be cut, or he could have tons of value, remains to be seen.
  36. Carlos Henderson - DEN - WR - Liked the talent a lot, but I don't see much value for a WR behind Sanders and Thomas, with the 2 QBs they have.
  37. Elijah Hood - OAK - RB - Wish Oakland drafted a RB higher. I don't think he's that good, so even if Lynch goes down, I think that situation becomes a 3-headed monster again.
  38. KD Cannon - SF - WR - Shanahan has had lots of success for fantasy footballers, if Cannon can latch on then he could become a fantasy asset.
  39. Dede Westbrook - JAX - WR - He's got some talent, but also off the field issues, and he'll be the 4th WR on a team that just drafted a bell-cow RB.
  40. Taywan Taylor - TEN - WR - Good talent, itty-bitty target share.

Thanks for putting this out but way low on Ross imo even if you dont like him. He was drafted in the top 10, can't put him below the RB jags imo.

He should go higher based on talent, but I have large doubts about his ability to play 16 games. I see him as a guy like Jordan Reed. If he ever plays 16 games, he's really good. But he often misses over half the season due to injury.

Thanks.  I have one dynasty non-ppr left and I have the 1.02 pick.  I'm still sorting through it but still have McCaffrey getting the edge.  Davis seems like the safe bet but so far the only criticism I hear on McCaffrey is questions about how he fits in Carolina.  It seems after the top 3 you start having more questions on talent or off field issues.

The what?

I'm not ready to create a list yet (kudos to steelers 1080) but I think I am starting to get my top tier ironed out.  I think my first few are:

Fournette, Mixon and Cook

then

McCaffrey and Davis

I like RB high in my non-ppr and while I like guys that can run and catch I want guys who I think will also get enough TD.  I think those top 3 fit that. I like McCaffrey's all around game but there are questions on fit and I'm not sure he will be a good goal line target.  Davis is safe and solid so he makes it in that 2nd group as my top WR.  I don't blame anyone for taking him earlier as a safe bet.  I think those top 3 while maybe having risk also have stud potential.  I can't guarantee I won't be flip flopping in the coming days.

Both of my dynasty leagues are non-ppr, so there.  :P

Thanks for the rankings and especially your rationale behind each one. Much appreciated!

Dirk Koetter is saying that McNichols might not make the team with Martin looking the best he's ever looked and they really like their RB corps. Sounds like BS coach-speak, but if he's cut I really hope the Steelers get him. Think he's a top 5 RB in this class talent-wise.

It's May... May.  Of course it's BS coach-speak.  Noone is doing any real football activities to bass this on

I won't ask who Dirk Koetter is but to say McNichols won't make the team one day after drafting him is asinine.

After a couple more days I have swapped Mixon and McCaffrey around.  I'm still a bit worried about how many TD CMC will get he seems really safe and solid with the added receiving yardage and my league also awards some points for return yardage.  Mixon may still be in that first tier but is probably my 4th choice.  I would love to move Cook ahead of McCaffrey but I hesitate because his new team was dead last in rushing yards per game last year.  I'm not sure how much of a leap to expect even with a couple new OL and a new RB.

Ok I'm following along now. I found the quote, total coach speak, we've wasted my time and everyone else's talking about this.
