No offense, but this team looks very avg at best. Simply tells me how much luck is involved in weekly matchups. I have league in which I'm ahead in the points total by 200 pts, but am 8-3.....Brees, CampbellS. Jax, MJD, D. Will, J. LewisMarshall, Boldin, S. Smith (car), Breaston, Avery, BradleyDaniels, Scaife,Elam, LongwellBucs, CardinalsOne of the best teams I've ever put together, but have lost 3 games...crazy.12 teams, 16 man rosters. ESPN standard scoring, but QBs only get 4 pts/TD and 1 pt/25 yds. Defense scores +/- based on points against, not yardage (along with sacks, etc.) I have the highest points for in the division, but have been lucky on schedule and picking the right lineup. Picking a QB in the playoffs is going to suckDavid Garrard, Matt Cassell, Tyler ThigpenADP, D-Will, MJD, Warrick DunnCalvin Johnson, Marques Colston, Vincent Jackson, Laveranues Coles, Kevin WalterAnthony FasanoJason ElamPanthers, Vikes
ignorance is bliss. If anyone is in a league where they are 11-0 they should probably be looking for a real one.

Anyone who says this probably hasn't played FF very long.If anyone is in a league where they are 11-0 they should probably be looking for a real one.
That is disgusting. There is an 11-0 team in my 16 team dynasty. He is the 5th highest scoring team.

I'm guessing your draft started out Gore, Wayne, TJ Housh, Boldin? Interesting strategy, looks like it's working! Our 10-team non-IDP league took 10 of those guys in the top 7 rounds:1 - Gore1 - Wayne2 - TJ Housh4 - Boldin5 - Chris Johnson5 - Lendale White5 - Jerricho Cotchery7 - DeAngelo Williams7 - Jonathan Stewart7 - Steve SlatonI was actually playing coy when I started this thread because I also have an 11-0 team. It is the most competitive league I'm in and in 8 years of playing with these guys I've only won the league once, so this clearly isn't me beating up on a bunch of rookies. It's a 10-team PPR league. I'm first in points w/ one close call game that I won by one point.StartersQB - Eli ManningQB - Tyler ThigpenWR - Reggie WayneWR - Andre Johnson (I traded TJ Housh for him earlier in the year)WR - Anquan BoldinWR - Jerricho CotcheryRB - Frank GoreRB - Chris JohnsonRB - Steve SlatonTE - Greg OlsenK - Josh ScobeeD - LaMarr WoodleyD - Kirk MorrisonDB - Gibril WilsonDB - Yeremiah BellDL - Terrell SuggsDL - Julius PeppersBenchDeAngelo WilliamsJonathan StewartLenDale WhiteBernard BerrianGus FrerotteJason CampbellKevin Boss
You are correct, sir. Then I drafted Stewart in the 5th, Cotchery in the 6th, and C Johnson in the 7th. I added DeAngelo for Trent Edwards (the guy who had Brady needed a 2nd QB to start) in week 3 or 4 when it looked like he was going to give way to J Stewart. I don't have the draft results in front of me but I know Slaton and LenDale went in the 9-11 range. My biggest bonehead pick was taking Shockey over Forte in round 8, but the strange thing is that I would have lost my one close game if I had taken (and presumably started) Forte.I'm guessing your draft started out Gore, Wayne, TJ Housh, Boldin? Good stuff. C Johnson went 2 rounds ahead of J Stewart in our league. Also Forte was the 3rd rookie RB drafted. He was taken in the 5th round after Kevin Smith (2nd round) and McFadden (4th).11 rookie RBs were drafted this year compared to 5 last year. You are correct, sir. Your team looks and sounds like my friend's team in another league, highest PF and highest PA. No offense taken, I agree with you 100% about the team being average looking ...at face value. Every time I look at my team I think, how the hell??? But at the same time, in my division I have the most points for, and I'm 2nd overall in the entire league. I shouldn't be undefeated, but I should have one of the best records.I do think that there can be something said for avoiding volatile studs and drafting and managing your team for consistency and depth and then of course making the right lineup choices. I always look ahead through week 16 anytime I make a move to make sure I don't have or leave any holes any given week. If I see something I patch it up at least a couple weeks in advance. I actually graphed out all the teams' strengths over the course of the entire season by recording the overall team strength and starters-only team strength with 85% SOS consideration each week via Lineup Dominator. I also graphed out everyone's weekly starter, bench, and total scores. One thing I noticed was that both of my sets of line graphs had the least volatility. I wasn't having huge boom weeks, but I also wasn't having any major bust weeks either. I've stayed right around 100 points every week, dipping below 95 only once, with spikes of 120, 130, and 135. To give some perspective, the average score each week is 83 and the average weekly standard deviation between scores is 21.53. So you can see that I should be beating most teams, but have been lucky against the big boom teams in those matchups. That said, this has been my strategy the last few years, and I'm starting to feel like the Oakland As of several years ago. I always finish the season as one of the best teams, but have never made it past round 1 of the playoffs. What I have in consistency, I lack in the extra oomph needed for a championship. Or, in the case of last year, luck, as I lost in rd 1 to the team with the fewest PF and fewest PA and had a terrible week. This year, my playoff outlook isn't pretty compared to my projected matchups, and I expect a repeat of prior seasons. Next year I'm going to follow my same base strategy, but seek out those "volatile studs" that have good end-of-year defensive matchups. No offense, but this team looks very avg at best.
