Post Your Quarterback(s) (1 Viewer)

Startup Dynasty:

9th round: David Garrard

11th round: Jason Campbell

Definitely not the strength of my team. I seemed to just be missing the guys I was looking at for my next pick.

Brett Favre and Jon Kitna. I was the last one to draft a QB (ten team league) However, i should mention that our league gives 1 point per completion and only penalizes 2 points per INT. 6 pts per TD. So, the system heavily rewards chuckers. Even in his bad years, favre has been a top 6 or 7 QB just because of how many passes he threw.

So having 2 somewhat shaky older guys was a conscious decision. Decided to load up on backs and recievers. Plus, i grabbed the top TE (witten) which is not something i would normally do.

Got Mcnabb around the 6th and Kitna around the 10th. I wanted to avoid Mcnafro and target Delhomme/Kitna/Cambell, but couldnt once Mcnabb fell so low.

Based on these lists, I'm considering taking a QB early
The prospect of having Schaub as the starter is a bit scary. However Anderson has been dropping in a lot of leagues. But the reliable QBs like Brady/Manning/Romo/Brees/McNabb/Palmer are all gone.

All 10 team - 16 rds

Cutler 8th

Delhomme 13th

Cutler 7th

Kitna 13th

Rivers 9th

Campbell 13th

Cutler 8th

Warner 14th

Agreed I almost pulled the trigger on Romo in the 2nd, missed out on Brees in the 3rd by one spot, so I got Big Ben in the 5th.
Ben was gone in round 2 in my draft. The value that was left on the board and the ridiculous number of QB's that were going in a pretty standard scoring league with 1 QB as a starter was insane.I'm happy with Vince and Schaub. Worst case I'll be the one who is able to trade later while the rest will be wondering what to do with no backfield and no receivers.

12 team dynasty startup (we did an auction, so QB#'s are ranks based on price paid):

Cutler QB8($7) - equivalent of a 6th rounder

Delhomme QB22($1) - equivalent of 17th round and beyond

Moore QB22($1)

Kolb QB22($1)

Garrard in the 9th

Schaub in the 11th

Pretty happy actually since I have the best WR corps and mid-high RB squad since I did not scramble to grab a QB early. 12-team league.

Here's the QB draft positions from my draft last night:

1.05 Brady

2.09 Romo

3.01 P. Manning

4.04 Brees

4.10 Palmer

6.01 Roethlisberger

7.02 Cutler

7.07 Anderson

7.08 McNabb

8.02 Favre

8.03 Schaub

9.06 Hasselbeck

9.07 Kitna

10.01 Rodgers

10.03 Young

10.10 Garrard

10.11 Bulger

12.02 E. Manning

12.05 Rivers

12.06 Delhomme

12.08 Campbell

13.09 Jackson

14.03 Leinart

14.07 Ryan

14.09 Warner

15.06 Garcia

16.12 J.T. OSullivan

This draft was all sharks from this pool.

I don't know how this happened, I guess the other owners in my league are scared off Big-Ben's schedule but I got him with the first pick of the 7th and then added Schaub in the 10th and Warner in the 15th.

jake delhomme is the QB in most of my leagues

others are eli manning or kurt warner.

in my keeper league, i've got roethlisberger b/c he's dirt cheap to keep.

10 team auction redraft league. No deductions for int's, $100 cap:

Kitna

Garrard

One was $4 and the other was $1 (but I can't recall which was which). I almost got Favre for $5 but was outbid.

I'm happy since my rb's are the bees knees and my WR1 and TE are the cat's meow.

i play in start 2 QB league. I ended up with Scaub, Campbell and Pennington.

Yes, i am very worried. Everytime I went to take a QB he was gone 2 picks prior.

I ended up with:

Delhomme - 10th round

Kitna - 12th

Rivers - 13th

was hoping for Schaub or Cutler but they both went at the beginning of the 9th, right before I would have drafted them.

My team has great depth at WR and RB and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

12 Team redraft-Delhomme in the 7th and Rodgers in the 9th.

I wanted Garrard in the 7th, but he went in the 6th. All the QB went early. One team took his backup QB (Hasselbeck) before I took my first QB in the 7th

round. I didn't want Hasselbeck anyway because the wide receiver situation there scares me.

Figured to go QB by committee all the time, just didn't get exactly the committee that I thought that I would.

I like Ben a lot. I have had him the past 3 years in a keeper league, but decided to drop him this year (kept Marshall instead).I really dont think Ben will have the same type of success that he enjoyed last year. Pitt had a tough time running and Ben had to step up big. And he DID. However, I think Pitt will transition quickly back to a power run game with their new additions and a healthy Willie. Ben is still a top 5 qb and he has a great future ahead, but i sincerely believe he is highly, highly overvalued in fantasy drafts. The 7th round is probably to low for him to fall, but it is not completely nuts. I'll state again, i like him a lot. but there are going to bea lot of disappointed owners if you think he is throwing for 3800+ and 30+.

12-team start-up dynasty.

Cutler - late 6th

Pennington - late 18th

Got a lot of depth at WR and TE and am considering trading for a weaker QB2 type.

Favre 19th round

16 Team PPR:

Cutler 6th round (11th QB taken)

T. Jackson 10th round

I also picked up Big Ben on the cheap ($9 out of $200), and then added McNabb for $2 (others had overspent).

Redraft, keeper or dynasty? I'm trying to figure out why Trent Edwards went undrafted.

10 team, 6 pts per TD. 1 pt per 20 yds, 3 pts for over 300, 6 pts for over 400

#4 spot.

Picked Delhomme at 10th, Bulger at 13th

7.07 Schaub, Matt HOU QB

11.11 Edwards, Trent BUF QB

12.09 Delhomme, Jake CAR QB

15.10 Kolb, Kevin PHI QB

28.02 Rosenfels, Sage HOU QB

35.05 Thigpen, Tyler KCC QB

10 team this weekend

Palmer in the 5th (7th QB taken)

Schaub in the 11th.

QBs went

Brady - 1.06

Manning - 2.10

Brees / Romo -3.02, 3.03

Anderson - 4.01

Ben - 5.04

This year I'm pretty high on getting one of the top 6 guys, usually ending with Ben or Palmer. The cost for the top 4 is too high, IMO, and I see a dropoff after Palmer & Ben. I don't like Anderson at all, and was thrilled to see someone take him that early.

Still, QBs early seems to be a trend this year.
