Post Your Quarterback - Wide Receiver Combo (1 Viewer)

I have the Carson Palmer (2nd round) to Houshmandzadeh (4th round) combo and hoping that it will be a good one. To a lesser degree I have the Vince Young - Brandon Jones combo. Probably lesser known but maybe a sleeper combo. Eventhough I can start 2 QB's I doubt whether Jones will be starting too oftern.

Leinart & Boldin. I rarely pay attention to combos when drafting and just grab BPA. Though it is always nice to get that double dip.

I'd actually prefer to have two great WRs on the same team like Boldin/Fitz, Wayne/Harrison or CJ/Housh to the QB-WR combo. I like the consistent scoring.

Not to detract from the OP, but I had Palmer/CJ last year and let me tell you it was feast or famine. This hurt me in the playoffs but all of my guys went cold so I can't blame just them.

No QB/WR combo this year, but I do have a potential LT/VJax pairing lined up!

Does Garcia to Boston count? It's a combo I guess, but hook ups don't count on the bench.

I wanted the Big Ben to Holmes combo but missed on Holmes in every league I got Ben.

Bulger and Holt, which last year provided me with my greatest win when they combined for 6 TDs against Seattle and LOST. I won my game and my Hawks won theirs.

Rothlisomething and Holmes, Kitna and Furrey are situational ones. Bennett is on the same Holt/Bulger squad too. And when he gets in I'll have Quinn/KII.

Brees to Colston (also Henderson but he's still on my reserve squad). Also have Pennington to Cotchery but both will be firmly on my bench except for byes/injury/New Orleans meltdown.

Love Romo to Owens I have Owens at WR1 and Romo at QB7.

Bulger to Holt's a great one too, seems harder to land though.

Rivers to Gates if that counts. I like Rivers arond QB8 or QB9, can be had pretty late.

I have Palmer to Housh in a dynasty league and Manning ot Harrison in a keeper, but in redraft it's harder to land those. I hate spending a 1st on Manning or a 2nd on Palmer

I have been doing Manning to Harrison for 3 years now and I have made playoffs each year. Guess it works.. I expect same this year.

Lienart to Boldin in one.....favorite double dip is ..Harrison and Wayne, along with Brees, and Fitz...Should be a great opening night

I love the QB/TE combo. When I first started fantasy football I had Bledsoe to Coates and it was :moneybag: . You'll do well with this combo.

I've got Rivers to Gates starting (except maybe this week for Rivers), didn't plan it that way they were both BPA. In the same league I also have Big Ben and Ward, wanted Ben to Holmes but it worked out this way instead.

Wound up with Big Ben to Holmes in a second league though neither will be regular starters there to begin with.

I agree with an earlier post that Ben and Holmes were two undervalued pickups this year with great potential.

Cutler to Walker and Grossman to Berrian in 1 league

Brees to Copper in another (although Copper will rarely start for me) in another

I generally don't seek out QB-WR combos but I don't go too far out of my way to avoid them either. I have Rivers-Gates in one league if that counts, but that's it. I'm more likely to take a QB-RB combo, again not deliberately but I don't avoid them either, and I have Rivers-LT2 in one league (not the same league as the Gates hookup) and Roethlisberger-Parker in another.

ETA: I guess it makes sense to double dip on a single team especially if you have a feeling about that team's general offensive prospects that differ from the norm (eg, if you agree with the FBG opinion on PIT or you think SEA is going to be back to NFC champion form).

None was ever done on purpose; just drafted by best value. All of these are in Dynasty

2 years ago i had Palmer to CJ... it was nice

League 1 has two...

Bulger too Holt (this is huge for me... These 2 plus Portis make up most of my Offense)

Grossman too Hester (both clear back ups and Hester was a WW pick up after 33 rounds of drafting; my has is value gone up since then)

League 2

Rivers too VJax (WR#3 out of start 4.. not too big for me)

League 3

T Jackson too Williamson (both players are clear back ups... maybe a connection will be made between them)

also I own Portis / Betts / S Moss / Fletcher here... thats boom or bust.

I have Romo/Owens going in 2 leagues

I have Manning/Marvin going in 3 leagues

I have Bree's/Colston going in 2 leagues.

Anyone who took Peyton Manning had a shot at Wayne or Harrison in virtually any league up to 12 teams in size. I grabbed the Manning/Wayne combo in my 10-team league for the second consecutive year. It's pretty lethal.

Yep ... here too.

Romo/Owens and I did it all of Romo's starts last year and think that I will do it for most of this year too.

Bulger to Holt here. And just for good measure, I also have Steven Jackson. Got Bulger at 5.2 and had I known that he would be available, I might have taken Wayne or TO instead of Holt.

Campbell + Santana Moss. :goodposting:

I had two drafts at the same time and without wireless internet available at my live draft, I set up my other one for auto-draft. While I ended up with pretty strong RB and WR, my only QBs drafted were Campbell and Quinn.

Somehow I ended up with three combos;

Kitna - Williams

Lienart - Fitz

Rivers - Gates

Obviously the three WR's start every week (we must start a TE) and I'll rotate in the QB's depending on the matchup.

Ben / Santonio

Lenart / Larry Fitz

Not a fan of the triple dip for the simple fact that 2 WRs having monster numbers in one game on the same team is few and far between. You're better off getting 2 #1s on different teams.

Peyton - Harrison - Wayne, the Triple dip.
Too bad Addai was gone. Probably the only team you could get away with starting 4. It will be interesting now the Colts are down to 1 main RB, will that force them to throw more so they don't run Addai too much. Peyton, Harrison, Wayne and Addai could all have better years than last without Rhodes in the picture.

In one league I wasn't really paying a lot of attention and was just drafting the next guy on my lists - drafted SA (RB1), Hass (QB1/2 - will prob. start half the year), Branch (WR1), DJ Hackett (WR3), and Pollard (TE2)

:excited:

:football: i had peyton last year and played a guy that had harrison/wayne combo - it about KILLED me! noted-to-self for next year: it might be nice to have at least one to ensure peyton's worth.alas no peyton this year, but got Bulger/SJax. PPC & PPR - i'm kinda likin' it.

in 14 teamer, TO (2.06) and Romo (5.09).. perhaps a little too quick on the trigger w/ Romo, but I had him as QB7 and the only other prospects I was looking at at that pick were Jamal Lewis and MBIII. Two guys took QBs before it got back to me, so I would imagine he would have gotten snatched up and I settled for D Foster at 6.06 as my RB3, which I wasn't that thrilled about. I grabbed Lamont Jordan next round so I think I'll be OK at RB (also Bush 1.09 and Ronnie Brown 4.06).
