Post Your Rotobowl Team (1 Viewer)

Drafted this weekend in Rotobowl. Very similar to WCOFF, except there was a 3RR (reversed the snake draft after Round 2). Also, 2 flex positions (RB/WR/TE option). PPR.

Drafting from the 4-hole:

1.04 Brian Westbrook (Addai went third)

2.09 Reggie Wayne

3.09 Anquan Boldin

4.04 Donald Driver

5.09 Marion Barber III

6.04 Jeremy Shockey

7.09 Fred Taylor

8.04 Tony Romo

9.09 Leon Washington

10.04 Patrick Crayton

11.09 Ben Roethlisberger

12.04 Indianapolis Colts Defense

13.09 Muhsin Muhammad

14.04 Heath Miller

15.09 Jesse Chatman

16.04 Jason Elam

17.09 Kenton Keith

18.04 Carolina Panthers Defense

19.09 Michael Jenkins

20.04 Steve Smith (NYG)

I passed on Gates in Round 4 as I knew I was going Shockey in Round 6. Calculated gamble. I just planned on Taking 3 Top 15 WRs if available, and I executed on it. Also thought hard about Plaxico at 5.09, which was still amazing there (Draft was in Atl. City and strong NY/PA/East Coast bias), but couldn't pass on RB2.

Crayton could be the SOD. Loved that pick.

Doing some mocks I had to grab and lock in the Colts D score (18 points in this system, which is a lot - Chicago and Baltimore had about 230 total in 2006).

Starters are in BOLD.

My Brother in Law drafted in a separate league, also in Rotobowl.

From the 7 hole:

1.07 Fast Willie Parker (First six - LT2, SJax, LJ, Gore, Addai, Westbrook)

2.06 Reggie Wayne

3.06 T.J. Houshmandzadeh

4.07 Donald Driver

5.06 Deuce McAllister

6.07 Todd Heap

7.06 Calvin Johnson

8.07 Jon Kitna

9.06 Leon Washington

10.07 Patrick Crayton

11.06 Indianapolis Colts Defense

12.07 Matt Schaub

13.06 Eric Johnson

14.07 Ron Dayne

15.06 Arnaz Battle

16.07 Jason Elam

17.06 New York Jets Defense

18.07 Jerome Harrison

19.06 Derrick Ward

20.07 Roddy White

We obviously shared notes here, but him getting Kitna and Calvin was flawless here.

Given his draft spot we had decided that going Carson Palmer in Rd 3 was a very good option, but he went in Round 2. Just as well.

Locking up points early is a good thing, as you play 2 games for 11 weeks and a 23rd game Week 12, so getting wins early matters. Getting Wayne, E Johnson and the Colts secures about 60 points right out of the blocks, which is a great start.

Starters are in BOLD.

Hey Jeff. I couldn't make it to AC this year as I now live in Charleston and I went back to Philly for my neighborhood draft. Anyway, I drafted online Wednesday in the 4 spot out of league 2, and I must say that it ran very smooth. I really enjoy Rotobowl, and Matt & Chris are two A-Class guys. Chris gave me a great hook-up with one of his buddies in LV for my bachelor party, so I would HIGHLY recommend this league to all based on PROFESSIONALISM & COOL POINTS!

1.4- GORE, although it took everything in my power not to select my daddy, Travis Henry.

2- EDGE

3- JAVON WALKER

4- CADDY

5- ROMO

6- REGGIE BROWN

7- betts

8- DJ HACKETT

9- DREW BENNETT

10- delhomme- gonna have a monster year... if steve smith is so high somebody has to throw it to him!

11- malcolm floyd

12- lj smith

13- troy williamson

14- HEATH MILLER

15- DENVER

16- stover

17- steve mcnair

18- AKERS

19- tb

20- mike anderson

Take care and good luck!

I did the online draft on Friday...Drafting from the 8 spot...

Looking at all the drafts www.commishsports.com/rotobowl it's amazing to see how Bush fell and Wayne rose after one game...

Link to my draft http://www.commishsports.com/rotobowl/ffbL...php?leagueID=10

Portis and Benson both fell to the 4th round!

1.8 Parker (took over bush)

2.5 S Smith (#1 receiver on my board - CJ and Wayne went before him)

3.5 Evans (took over TJ Housh and Roy Williams - have a great feeling about him)

4.8 Lynch - really like him here in a ppr league

5.5 Jordan - Took early but I like him a lot

6.8 Galloway - Again took early but i think in Gruden's offense with a Garcia 80 1200 10 is possible

7.5 White - Should be the feature back very soon

8.8 Shockey - One of last good TEs on board

9.5 Roethlisberger - last QB left that I think should finish top 10

10.8 Hackett - K Jones went right before us

11.5 Furrey - Good value in 11th in PPR - should have taken Crayton though looking back who i forgot about temporarily

12.8 Cowboy's Def

13.5 Campbell - Took him too early looking back

14.8 Wilford - good value there

15.5 B Jones - another good wr value late

16.8 Miami Def - will play matchups with them and Dal Def

17.5 Losman - good value here

18.8 Scobee

19.5 Z Miller - Last TE left that I thought had any value

20.8 Hanson

Overall I am happy with the draft from the 8th spot...

QB: With TD passes only 4 pts Roeth, Campbell and Losman will be a good QBBC

RB: Parker, Lynch, Jordan, White - 4 starting rbs who should do well in ppr

WR: S Smith, Evans, Galloway, Hackett, Furrey, Wilford, B Jones - 2 top 10 guys and good depth in a league with 2 flex spots

TE: Shockey, Miller - Average

K: Scobee, Hanson

Def: Dallas, Miami

Should be a competitive team in a ppr league with 2 flex where you will need good depth...

Damn, I thought had a very nice team (6 spot, league 15 Fri night), but these teams are all quite similar:

1.06 Brian Westbrook (PHI-9)

2.07 Reggie Wayne (IND-6)

3.07 Larry Fitzgerald (ARI-9)

4.06 Donald Driver (GBP-6)

5.07 Marion III Barber (DAL-3)

6.06 Braylon J. Edwards (CLE-6)

7.07 Ladell Betts (WAS-8)

8.06 Jeremy Shockey (NYG-4)

9.07 Eli Manning (NYG-4)

10.06 Matt Leinart (ARI-9)

11.07 Derrick Mason (BAL-7)

12.06 Brian Leonard (STL-7)

13.07 Eric M. Johnson (NOS-7)

14.06 Michael Pittman (TBB-4)

15.07 Ernest Wilford (JAC-6)

16.06 Matt Stover (BAL-7)

17.07 Selvin Young (DEN-4)

18.06 Maurice Stovall (TBB-4)

19.07 Kansas City Chiefs (KCC-3)

20.06 Jason Avant (PHI-9)

Chad Johnson, Steve Smith and Terrell Owens went in front of me picking Wayne. I was pretty ecstatic to get Wayne.

Some crazy value in this draft. Kitna was the 13th QB taken ... 1 pick in front of me getting Manning (guy grabbed his second QB with Kitna).

If I made a mistake it was going back to QB too early taking Leinart, but the QB cupboard was getting pretty bare, and I think Leinart can be quite good for me.

I would have jumped on Gates in the 4th had he been there for me. He went 4.02. Still, Shockey was a nice value 4 rounds later. People really ignored TE for a while after Gates. Shockey was the 4th TE drafted.

I drafted out of the 8 spot in Saturday's live draft event. Here's my team:1.8 S.Alexander2.5 W.McGahee3.5 T.Owens4.8 L.Evans5.5 D.Driver6.8 L.Coles7.5 K.Jones8.8 K.Winslow9.5 D.Foster10.8 M.Hasselbeck11.5 M.Furrey12.8 R.Droughns13.5 D.Rhodes14.8 M.Schaub15.5 A.Toomer16.8 T.Jackson17.5 Miami18.8 N.Burleson19.5 Z.Miller20.8 J.Scobee
what league number are you?i would love to see the rest of the draft...i cant believe owens and evans slid that late...

Very true, all of these teams are very similar. As Jeff points out, it is IMPERATIVE to get off to a fast start in this league because you can be in a hole that's tough to get out of if you don't score well.

In my opinion this particular draft is won in rounds 8-13, as with most, but there are A LOT of guys who can put up real good teams. It most likely will come down to WR3 & Flex positions to take it all.

Drafted live Saturday from the 12 spot.

1.12 Rudi Johnson

2.01 Maurice Jones-Drew (could be bad rather than grabbing a #1 WR, but I want 4 starting RB's since I can start them all)

3.01 Edjerrin James

4.12 Laveranues Coles

5.01 Deuce McCallister

6.12 Chris Chambers (Edwards went 6.11, and had to go 2 WR)

7.01 Santonio Holmes (loved this pick)

8.12 Baltimore (never go DEF so early, but struggled in playoffs with DEF so often didn't want an issue, CHI went 8.11)

9.01 Vince Young

10.12 Terry Glenn (I have my top 3 WR already, but still bad move, he was going rd 9-10 at Rotobowl)

11.01 Alge Crumpler (loved this pick)

12.12 Ben Rothlisberger (loved this pick)

13.01 Eddie Kennison (hated this pick on Saturday, hate it more Monday)

14.12 Arnaz Battle (pray for decent season as he will be my #4 WR with Glenn & Kennison out)

15.01 Michael Pittman (prediction: the Caddy will blow a tire at some pt)

16.12 Kenny Watson (handcuff)

17.01 Marcel Shipp (handcuff)

18.12 Dwayne Bowe (this was in case kennison went down, i mean somebody has to produce in KC???)

19.01 Jason Elam

20.12 Buffalo Bills

I went heavy WR last year & I won my league but did terrible in the main tourney. Went heavy RB & value QB & WR this year hoping I could make it closer to the $20,000 prize.
