potential future td celebration ideas - post them here (1 Viewer)

Why does NFL players have to take everything to the point of ridiculous?  Before I can really enjoy a well thought out celebration they have to ruin it by these outlandish team parties like playing leap frog.  Really, leap frog?

They looked like they were having fun?

Hand the ref the ball and pretend you've been there before.  #getoffmylawn
We will see the point, within the decade, where outlandish TD celebrations have become the NFL's version if the slam dunk contest.

At that point, some rookie will score, walk to the ref, hand him the ball, and be lauded on whaetever has replaced twitter for his "throwback, old-school celebration routine."

Billy "white shoes" Johnson's celebration is still the best of all time.  Butch Johnson's celebration was also the bomb.

Maybe I saw it in a movie, but I'd really love to see a player put the ball in his jersey, then get on his back and act like he is giving birth and shoot the ball out to a teammate, celebrating a brand new football baby.

I feel like we saw that one back in the former heyday of celebrations, when ochocinco and owens were leading the charge.

But I cant recall who did it.

that would be followed up by someone taking a dump.

Oooh oooh I know what they should do.  One of them should get together with their teammates and act out a game that people used to play as kids!  That would be hilarious and totally new and original!

Now that is a TD celebration and so is this one by John Brown.

Hide and seek = lame and stupid. Leap frog = lame and stupid. Seriously, only enjoyed by 5 year old level brain development.

since child games are all the rage how about pin the tail on the donkey. loads of fun i bet.

these celebrations are so dumb... what a sad generation... oh wait... its mine...  ugh

Here's one: after scoring a TD a player puts on a smoking jacket, sits by a fire and does a public reading of this thread (and the other one) to the viewing audience.

Gold, pure gold!

If players ONLY did this, you wouldn't appreciate it nearly as much when you see it.

Hmmmmm, I wonder what a good "get off my lawn" celebration would look like?  A player running towards his teammates while he is shaking his fist in the air, and they all run out of the endzone?

Not sure, but that's what this has evolved to since the NFL lightened up on celebrations.  Most are lame, don't you agree?
Of course most are lame.  That's why it's sweet when a guy has a good one.

Just don't watch the TV for 4 seconds after a TD is scored if it bothers you so much.  Make sure you take your blood pressure medicine before the games this week.

lol, I enjoy a good celebration as much as most, but what ESPN has shown lately is laughable.  Hmm, maybe laughable is a good thing?  Maybe I'm looking at this too seriously.  Perhaps today's players aren't capable of a good celebration, only stupidity, which I'm supposed to laugh at.  OK, I get it, I'll laugh at the next one.  Forgive me, I'm trying to catch up.
