Potential waiver wire RBs (1 Viewer)

There are a few RBs that started the season as an afterthought but might now warrant some consideration in both redraft and dynasty leagues. Guys like Kenny Watson, Earnest Graham, Chris Henry, Jesse Chatman and Jason Wright. What do you think of their value for the rest of the season and beyond?

Norwood and D. Williams

Norwood because Dunn just simply is washed up and D. Williams because of Foster just cant stay healthy. I just picked up both last week and believe I will have at least 1 starter by week 9 or 10. Good luck!!

I'm in a number of leagues and neither of these guys is on the wire anywhere.

Maybe in redraft but no chance in Dynasty.I'm looking at Chapman and Henry as the only guys on my WW in Dynasty. M Bush and C Taylor were just dropped as well. I am going to try to get Bush in the 2nd round and Chapman or Roddy White in the 1st. I have ADP so CT is interesting, but I just don't have the roster space.

i have M. Bush which i'm excited about if Lamont can't stay healthy, and i'd like to try to wrestlye C. Henry away from another guy before his value gets too high, i offered him a 3rd rounder next year which he turned down, so we'll see, i may offer a 2nd rounder, but we'll see...

So does Henry have the highest upside of all these guys for dynasty purposes? Is Graham the most valuable in a redraft?

I certainly think that all these guys are worth keeping if possible on a redraft team. Longer term I think the best option is Henry because he's the highest drafted guy on the list (even if most thought it was a reach) and he has the least great competition. All those other guys are behind guys that are/were studs in Rudi, Caddy, Ronnie and Jamal. Maybe Jamal isn't back and he is getting older, but it's hard to believe that Rudi, Caddy and Ronnie won't reclaim the starting job when they heal.

I still believe in Joe Echemandu. I think he led the pre-season in rushing and was quietly picked up by the Saints Texans.

If he can get some of the play-book digested I like him way more the Houston backs. If he starts one weekend it might be too late to grab him.

He was picked up by the Texans, not the Saints.

You got me, for some reason I thought it was the Saints. Either way this guy holds value in my book

IMHO, Yes and maybe. Chatman may challenge Graham for the most value the rest of this season.
Short rosters and number 2 on WW and I am putting in for Chatman. Don't need RB going drop decent WR. Does not matter a talant like that and O-line that is that good is going score points and someone going to want him.

J.Wright: Will Lewis be back?Ke. Watson: watch for Rudi's full return, might be 3rd down back anyway, good esp PPR leagues?

Ke.Faulk: screw the NE running game.

C. Henry: got carries and 5+ypg and TD last week

Mi. Bush: alot of RBs in OAK

C.Taylor: did he get dropped yet? ADP has an injury history

N. Davenport: still not in jail...

L. Betts: seems like he blew his chance vs. the Giants a few weeks back...now it's Sellers.

D. Wynn: they're force feeding him...

V. Morency: can he get more than the 3rd down calls?

B. Leonard: is S-Jax totally healthy? Will they use Leonard later in the year after the season is lost?

Mi. Bennett: probably late on this bandwagon and Graham looked good last week.

P. Holmes: there are worse RBs in worse offenses out there.

KeKeith: Ladies and Gentlemen...RBBC now appearing in IND...

Selvin Young: or Andre Hall or Mike Bell or Cecil Sapp

'The other' Adrian Peterson: Cedric looking ok but getting banged up...

Kubiak on one of the Houston local radio shows said that Joe Echemandu could be a possibility in the near future if the running game doesn't improve (31st overall right now, and 32nd in ypc). He likes both Joe and Walker and would love to give them a try right now but he said the problem with bringing them up is roster space. With that, he said Joe would be more likely the next in line b/c of his special teams experience. Just adding what I heard.

I was wondering the same thing

Pierre Thomas. NOS let 4th rd pick Pittman go because of him. Fills the McAllister mold better than any of the other backs on the roster. Scored a TD this weekend and should start to get more carries.

I was kind of thinking the same thing until I saw this: Thomas 5'11" - 210McAllister 6'1" - 232Bush 6'0" - 203He looks like he is built more like Bush than McAllister. I haven't seen him play. Is he the pounding, up the middle type?

Caddy hasn't been very impressive since his record setting rookie year (first 1/4 of it anyways)

Basically, he's a north/south runner where Stecker and Bush are shashers.

The Sports Network reports the Houston Texans signed RB Adimchinobe Echemandu from the practice squad Tuesday, Oct. 23.

IF you got a scrub in a Dynasty you can rid of I recommended making a move folks. If rosters are tight or your in redraft I'd stay in tune with Joe E.

Any other information on this guy? Not about his status in Houston, but why you and others are so (relatively) high on him?I've been burned by Houston RB's before. :moneybag:

Basically he has an injury history in HS and College which hurt his stock alot.Coming out of HS he was a member of the Super Prep All-Star West team as the No. 60 overall prospect and the Prep Star All-America team as the No. 10 running back prospect in the West.

In College at Cal, he was recruited as a RB but was converted WR for a season (good hands) becasue of injuries ot the WR core. He finished his injury riddled career at Cal with

306 carries for 1,434 yards and 16 TDs and 33 receptions for 264 yards and 2 TDs.

This pre-season running behind the Raiders 3rd/4th quarter O line he had 39 carries for 168 yards an avg of 4.3 per. He also had 3 rec for 32 yards.

I think he has the perfect RB mold at 5'10 225, he runs hard, not much juke but lowers his shoulder for extra yards. His style should fit the 1 cut run scheme well.

Edit - Hes also cousins with Nnamdi Asomugha , the solid CB for the Raiders. I love bloodlines

thanks for the insight on this guy. is there a chance he gets a lot of work the rest of the year?

Based of off this weeks performance I can see him at a minimum passing R Dayne. As for A Green , I'm not sure.I think a bonus for Joe E, is that , coach may wanna see what hes got in Joe before they enter the draft and pickup one of the MANY RB prospects coming out. He knows what hes got in Green already.
