As my 3 dynasty leagues steam ahead towards cut-down date, my inbox is being steadily flooded with drop notifications.

Names like Kareem Hunt, Kwon Alexander, Parris Campbell, Ronnie Rivers, Tyler Huntley, Josh Kelly, etc.

Every year I get a little nostalgic seeing these long-time roster cloggers, has beens, and never were’s fall harmlessly to the FA pool, unlikely to ever land on another roster.

So let’s hear it for the dearly departed.

Ben Tate really suckered me. He was the handcuff for Foster so every year it was like, "when Foster gets hurt he is going to be the man" then it became "get this guy on a new team where he can own the backfield and watch out". I was drafting in Las Vegas in the FFPC in 2013 out of the 4th slot. Had kind of decided to grab Richardson there instead of McCoy, but when I was on the clock, I changed my mind and drafted Shady. The guy drafting next to me literally yells out "fock". He took Richardson. Shady had a great season and Richardson was the suck. Still remember that so clear. Fun draft. Two co-managed teams on either side of me and they were all cool, friendly guys.
