In the last couple of years (if not more), it seems like Belichick has compiled a number of diverse and versatile players who can he can leverage in specific match-ups or against certain schemes on a week-to week basis. This happens on both sides of the ball - for instance he essentially eliminated and schemed Antonio Gates out of last weeks game. Obviously, you think back to the Pats first SB and his famous decision to always go after Marshall Faulk because he was the fulcrum of the Rams offense. Last year, his hot/cold TE usage between Gronk & Hernandez (until the end of the year when Gronk took over) caused for many FF owners to shake their heads not knowing what to expect.
But we have a decades worth of insight/data right now.
Based on how he's used personnel based on these specific match-ups, do we have any presumptions we can infer based on what Belichick sees and what type of gameplan he plans to deploy? I know he's the best coach in the business but perhaps there is some insight we can offer to the FF community when it comes to BB that can help in discerning what match-ups to avoid/exploit.
