Prediction: Wynn runs for 1000 yards this year (1 Viewer)

They can talk all they want, but after watching the tape TWICE of the Packers Giants game Wynn didn't look too much better than Jackson, as a matter of fact neither guy looked real good to me.
 I hope you're joking about this part.
:hophead:
LOLNope no joke, I watch them all twice. Superfan and TiVo combined are like Jenna Jameison and Amber Lynn in the same room....
You're showing your age... :bag:

He might be, but Amber Lynn was smokin back in the day. Props to him for the reference. :D

"You're talking about an extremely talented individual that's applying all that talent, all that hard work, in the film room. Very, very rarely makes a mistake," Bennett said. "Football — OK, this kid is bright. He hardly ever makes a mistake. To see him apply what he's learning in the film room to the practice field and the game field, it's a positive thing."

Where was all this hard work, applying himself, and football IQ when he was at Florida?Somebody asked about his UF career earlier. There's a few posts in earlier Green Bay RB threads. Basically, the kid spent his entire career here failing to live up to expectations. Either in the coach's dog house, hurt too bad to play or too little pain tolerance to play through it (Wynn's probably the only guy that knows which of these of true), not working hard enough to get playing time even when he clearly had more physical ability than most of the RBs on the UF roster, etc. Maybe more of his problems were injury related than the fans were aware of, but it didn't seem like it, and Meyer has made some comments since he left that make me think his mediocre career at UF had more to do with his work ethic.

I hope he's dedicated now, willing to work hard, and becomes a successful NFL player. I always like to see Gators succeed in the pros. I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm trying to pick him up this week myself, but I'm looking at it as a long shot, not that he's likely to seriously contribute to either the Packers or my fantasy football team.

It's not so much the RB's as it is the offensive line. I posted this in a similar thread but will repost for no reason whatsoever, unless others aren't looking at all the Wynn posts. Here's what Leroy Butler, ex-Packer had to say about him. I think he knows a little about defending against RB's:

Q: Who do you think should be starting at running back?

A: I relate the running back situation to basketball, you give the ball to the hot guy. And right now the hot guy is DeShawn Wynn. Now, I think it's his job until (Vernand) Morency can prove he can run the ball 15 to 20 times without injury. But DeShawn Wynn is a bigger guy so he can carry the load. And I'd love to see "25" (Ryan Grant) some more. I'd like to see him a little bit more on third downs and I'd love to see him on misdirection plays. He does look a little like Dorsey Levens. Dorsey was tough to bring down and Grant showed that on the screen pass. He's a positive runner and that's why I'd like to see more of him. He's got a chance to be very good. But I'm very high on DeShawn Wynn, not because he scored, but if you look at all his positive plays, the touchdown runs, he shows a lot of vision and has very good feet to avoid open-field tacklers. He made a veteran move on that long touchdown. I have all the confidence that Edgar Bennett will put the best guy out there and the hottest guy. I call it the Michael Redd syndrome. Get it to him until he misses.

In further support, Morency, who was expected to practice fully on Wednesday, did not participate in team drills today.

sportsline's report is a little more optimistic:Analysis: Head coach Mike McCarthy said Morency, who hurt his knee on the first day of training camp, had a fairly full day of practice Wednesday. That also was the case last week, when Morency had a good practice on Wednesday, but his knee flared up on Thursday and he was inactive for Sunday's victory over the New York Giants. "He went most of the practice," McCarthy said. "I know we had him limited participation, but we worked him as much as we could, trying to get the other three guys ready, too. (Thursday) morning's medical review will be a factor in whether he goes this week or not." Despite the 2-0 start, the Packers' running game has struggled in the first two games. Morency might provide a boost upon his return, but should be kept reserved until he shows he can be productive.
