Predictions for R.Smith, Mi.Clayton going forward? (1 Viewer)

What do you guys think of these two WRs going forward?

I wasn't very high on Simms from the beginning and after week 1, he hasn't put anything in my mind to make me think he can be a legit NFL QB. I understand it was a tough D, but the entire offense flopped. Clayton had a rough year last year gaining only 372 yards and 0 TDs. Are there any hopes he can rebound as long as Simms is the QB?

As for Smith. He's another WR that puzzles me. Every year I think he won't last and every year he does. They do have Javon Walker now which should take some looks away from the old man. He's 36 and coming 2 straight 1,000 yard seasons. Is this the year he finally doesn't reach that mark, especially if Plummer doesn't get it together?

I own Rod Smith also, and I fear that this is the year that we see some drop off. Between a less impressive running game and a credible threat on the other side, in addition to his age, I'm afraid he doesn't perform the way I was hoping when I drafted him.

Clayton I think has a shot. This was a crappy game all around, but Galloway had career numbers with the same QB. So while Simms may not be a great fantasy QB, I think he'll be sufficient to allow Galloway and Clayton to have respectable fantasy numbers.

Less impressive running game? Denver had 170 yards rushing.

Yeah I was unsure about that as well. Must have been looking at the names instead of the stats.

Fair enough. I wasn't thinking so much about 1 game, as I was that Mike Bell doesn't impress me as the workhorse, especially now that he's injured. But then again, most of Denver's RBs have been unheralded so I could be very wrong.
