Predictions on Sammy Sosa in 2007 (1 Viewer)

He's finally back (now with the Rangers) and has had an awesome spring with 5 HR and an over .400 batting average. They plan on using him in the DH spot and a few games in the outfield. He is up there in years, but I don't see why he can't be good for 25 homers.

Thoughts on Sosa?

I picked him up after the draft - anything I get is gravy. Just figured I would make a strong predicition that I could crow about if it happens.

This sounds about right, although he'll have more ribbies due to hitting in the 5 hole until Texas finally dumps him. It will be hard for him to hit higher than 250. He abused minor leaguers in the spring and a few big leaguers who were working on pitches. His bat speed is gone, won't be able to hang.

Was going to post this topic. Apparently cheating on the fastball...he's always cheating on something.

As putrid as pitching is these days and factoring in he plays in a hitters park with a pretty good lineup, I'll say .270/30/95.
