Prepayment of 50% of fees for pick trades (1 Viewer)

The question is what happens to that money if the commis doesnt give the new owner that 50% break?

Is that typical and if so should it go into the next years pool or back to the owner that left?

some leagues use the "overage" to go in the pot for future times when a team may not be easy to find a good owner. I think it all comes down to the commish as to how things are handled.

I agree with Jeff, but either way, the owners and especially the new owner should be aware of what is happening with the money.

I agree, too.We have it specifically stated in our rules that if the replacement owner is willing to pay the fee, we'll refund it to the prior owner; otherwise (e.g., if the team is in really bad shape due to the traded picks) it is applied to the new owner's first year fees.
