You're Welcome
I'll believe it when I see it.You're Welcome
I just want to point out that there is a slight difference between the thread title and what was reported. It could be semantics or it might be a careful word choice. Interpret it how you want."Ideally, Priest Holmes will get to the point where he can get 15 touches per game."
What Mort reported was ..

4 on the field11 by the trainers___________15 total.Easy enough math.
More specifically, Edwards spoke in an interview Friday evening that, ideally, the team would like to get Holmes 15 touches per game.Never directed that comment at today's game...never even hinted at the amount of use today...just talking in very general termsWhat Mort reported was ..

Don't you hate when you think of a good joke, keep scrolling and somebody beat you to it?4 on the field11 by the trainers
Thank you. That's a hell of a lot different than the thread title. What Mort reported was ..

I see LJ having a big game today, 200 yards and a couple of tds.As an LJ owner, I like it when he is mad, he tends to run the best.![]()
Nice job stopping the MISinformationWhat Mort reported was ..

I don't think LJ takes a hit in this case. I actually think that the addition of Holmes will improve LJ's yards per carry like it did when they both played together since Holmes provides the missing ingrediant of being able to catch the ball.I think this news is a buy low opportunity for LJ.satch said:While Priest Holmes is a great story, I'm not sure there's much to be excited about here in terms of fantasy success. All this does is make LJ less valuable and Priest a temptation. It creates yet another RBBC situation, or at least partially. Priest will get just enough carries to reduce LJs value, keeping him just under 100 yards and stealing an occassional TD. Yet, at the same time, Priest won't get enough carries to warrant starting, unless you're just hoping for a lucky, timely TD.The bottom line: LJs value takes an unknow hit. Priest Holmes has minimal value as a handcuff or a low expectation fill in guy who you'd be happy to get a lucky TD from.I wouldn't be psyched to have either on my team. If you have either one, or both, you'll probably get more headaches than rewards.
But he is so irrationally excited about it.Macdaddy_2004 said:LJ has just been herminated.
Well, I guess if you're an LJ owner that's the right attitude to have. Unfortunately, as an LJ owner myself, I don't see it that way. Okay, sure, maybe LJ stays a little fresher and his ypc increases from 3.4 to 4. So instead of 20 carries for 68 yds and a TD, he'll get 15 carries for 60 yards, and Priest gets the TD. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just saying that Priest Holmes taking carries from LJ does not increase LJs value. It means less total yards and fewer TDs.I don't think LJ takes a hit in this case. I'm not offended in the least by the fact that you don't share my opinion. Your scenario could be right and I could be wrong but I think that the addition of Holmes will improve the whole offense, sustains more drives, less punts and more opportunities for LJ in the red zone.Well, I guess if you're an LJ owner that's the right attitude to have. Actually, I agree with you that Holmes talents could lead to an improved offense overall, and possibly more scoring opportunities. I guess it just comes down to who gets those opportunities, and we'll have to wait and see. I hope, for both of our sakes, that you're right.I'm not offended in the least by the fact that you don't share my opinion. However many he gets, you can't not like this guy. Battled back for 2 years to get where he is now. Finally getting another chance. Just hope he stays healthy and doesn't face any serious injury as a result of this. Hoping for the best.
The same KC that's leading the AFC West? That one that sucks this year?-Crippler- said:"Ideally" they will run the ball 60 times per game, because more rushes usually means KC is in the lead and is running down the clock. "Ideally" is not really an option, considering how much KC sucks this year.
Over/Under on Holmes averaging 4 carries per game from here on out?
he'll touch the ball 15 times in warmups, as the caddy for Huard.Priest Holmes 15 touches per game is an excellent flex play with the easy scheudle the Chiefs have in the 2nd half of the season.
I'll point out the obvious that Priest came up just 10 touches shy of 15. Obviously it was his first game back, so even the most optimistic Holmes backer can't have expected much more.I thought he showed a little something on the one run outside the tackle. They also ran a play or two with both of them on the field, which makes sense to me (that offense can use all the playmakers they can get).I still think games with 15 touches for Priest would be ones where KC dominates time of possession, so they will be few and far between.
And that gets an eyeroll because? I think you must have misread what I wrote. Here's a summary: Priest got nowhere close to 15 touches, he showed a little something, still think 15 touches is unlikely for Priest in most games given how the Chefs are playing.Maybe write something after the emoticon next time.I'll point out the obvious that Priest came up just 10 touches shy of 15.
