Problems with The Audible downloads (1 Viewer)

I've had some problems with The Audible lately. All of my recent downloads, both through iTunes and fbg.com, are playing like they are a 45 record set to 33-1/3. The 6/11 podcast, according to iTunes, is over 1 hour and 48 minutes.

Is anyone else having this problem? More importantly, is there a fix for it?

Wally, thanks for listening - let me check with Superman aka Keith Overton on this one. :goodposting:

Sounds like the playback speed for podcasts in your Quicktime has been changed.

If you open Quicktime, you can click Window > Show A/V Controls and there will be a "Playback Speed" slider at the bottom of the pop-up. Adjust that to 1x and you should be good to go. (That's where it is on a Mac.)

Thanks for the input, Memphis Foundry, but I'm actually having the problem with my mp3 player, which does not have a playback speed setting. (My other podcasts are working fine.) By the looks of the lack of responses, though, it looks like I'm the only one having this problem. The logical conclusion from this is that it's operator error. Can anyone save me from the shame of not being able to listen to a podcast correctly? :blackdot:

Is it an Ipod, or a different player?thanks!

You know, I've been having issues with my ipod playback as well. When I pause, it jumps minutes ahead, and like you, it says I have almost two hours of show, and it ends much sooner than that... Any ideas FBGs?

from what I can tell this is on the BlogTalkRadio side. Again, I'll check with Keith because he is all knowing about this kind of stuff.

It's not an iPod - it's a Zen player from Creative.
