Had some pumpkin spice oatmeal this morning. Didnt really have much flavor.

I don't really have a problem with pumpkin, just how it appears earlier and earlier every year. We're now at the point where you start seeing pumpkin beer in early August.  That's just absurd.

Plus, it's all false advertising, all these beers, lattes, etc.... are nutmeg flavoured, not pumpkin.

Exactly, and it's because actual pumpkin is disgusting. You have to bombard it with nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar to make it palatable.

And some places call it "pumpkin spice", but even that's stupid. Pumpkin shouldn't get any credit for nutmeg and cinnamon tasting good.

I like it...  I like most "fruity" beers..  Had a blueberry/apple hard cider from a local brewery the other night.. awesome!

If that makes me gay, so be it...  I'm 44 with four daughters.. maybe all the estrogen in my house is getting to me.
