Not sure it will really affect what the Niners were planning to give Purdy either way. In any event, I don't think we'll need to start a GoFundMe page for him.
I think it will definitely cap it a bit. If Josh got say 70/year which wouldn't have been too crazy, Purdy could get 60. Now are you going to pay Purdy more than Josh Allen? I wouldn't.

If accurate, Josh definitely could have gotten more, but based on this I don't see how Purdy would be getting 60 either way.

In my ten-team, QB gets .1 per 10 yard league, this guy just dropped 66 points.
I traded McCarthy, Pacheco, Aiyuk and a future 2nd for him.
Pretty happy with him right now. My team was a perennial carcass with flies buzzing and buzzards chilling. Now it's respectable. Jeez.

You know what's weird? I was sort of under the weather during it and I was telling the guy that Josh Allen was the number one or two asset in our league and he should at least get a guy or two in addition to the McCarthy and 2nd (there was this year's 3rd, also, which I forgot until I just checked the transaction). I both wanted to be a good trading partner and didn't want a veto (nobody would have vetoed it in our league, but it was . . . ). We settled on Pacheco and Aiyuk.
I mean, I knew that if I could cobble something together I'd have a contender in a year or two. Very fortuitous.
eta* I wouldn't have had the audacity to even suggest that deal as an opening salvo. I'm really glad I wanted McCarthy during our draft that year. (I did trade a reasonable asset for two picks that netted me McCarthy and Tracy.)

That’s incredible. I think Mahomes broke that fastest to 300 list and then Allen did it even faster. Would be nice to see the stat list top 5 or so.

It's always fun to go back to the early pages of a thread and see how wrong many were about certain prospects. Hindsight being 20/20 and all that.
I recall being dead wrong on the 2 Josh’s but I also really liked Lamar.

I was one of them. Guy couldn't hit fricken Godzilla his rookie year. Insane turn around. Totally fine with eating my hat here.

With Daniels out I think I am going to offer a haul for Allen. The other owner has a lot of great keeper options at QB so is willing to listen to Allen offers.
