QB Justin Herbert, LAC (3 Viewers)

Damnit. In my NFL salary cap league I need him to play. If I win, I'm in the playoffs. Matt Stafford is on the waiver wire (because his salary is 47 million). I could drop Herbert and then I'd have room to sign Stafford, but risk someone else picking up Herbert later. Of course this crap is happening to me when it matters most.
I'd move off Herbert. Not because of the hand, but the o-line.

Figures. Another start question like ARSB...:poop:
Bro. He’s gonna play. He played through 3/4 with it needing screws & plates to stabilize it. He’s mos def gone play now that it’s stabilized. It’s his non/throwing hand, and they’ll tape it up. I have no concerns about this one.

ARSB was sketchy, but worked out pretty well for PPR.

Anyone just a touch bit nervous?

I feel like on a usual Monday someone like Schefter would have given an update by now.

A little too much silence for my comfort.

No skin in the game, but I would be very nervous (about Herbert playing).

Its not a "must win" for Chargers being a non-conference game, but there are must wins coming up. I'm leaning towards "he's not playing"

Sounds like they didn’t elevate a practice squad QB, which is likely good news for Herbert playing.

I'm sure he's playing too, but if I'm Harbaugh I'm letting Hampton and the RBs do all the heavy lifting this game.
That's why no one will remember your name. If I was Harbaugh, Herbert would throw the ball 75 times. Ha ha. Seriously though I agree with you. Feels like a 25 attempts or less game coming.

If Gadsden isn't thrown to tonight and used more as blocker n less snaps,I'm dumping him and Worried about Johnstonck as well not getting targets bc no time for Herbert to throw down field.

On wack on Herberts hand, could knock him out of game. Kinda hard to protect a hand.
I wouldn't trust starting Herbert in any game ros. Just like I benched Jones bc of fractured fibula. Not good time of year to risk starting an injured player.

He played with it last week.

Its my understanding that the bone is stronger and more stable this week than last.

Someone needs to stop them from using him behind this line. Harbaugh should step in. That is never going to happen and I’m not judging but it’s like watching the effects of a vandal who stole a stop sign and two cars are currently barreling into each other.

I like him more than I like Chargers and it’s not self-interest talking even though sitting him completely dovetails with the league in which I roster him. It ain’t that.

What does "clean for the most part" mean. Deciding between him or Caleb Williams vs Cleveland. Or JJ Mccarthy for the first round. Yikes.
Different interview with him, he said X-rays didn't show anything unexpected, still a decent amount of swelling. Basically, playing didn't cause things to get worse.

Chargers.com interview.
I was surprised he ran as much as he did with his hand versus throwing it away. They won but can't imagine Spags is going to allow Herbert to get the ball out quick this week.

The Chargers don't have the best playcaller in Roman. It'll be a tough last month for this offense.

He actually stiff-armed a dude with his broken hand.

Just legendary **** right there.

To paraphrase Donny Wahlberg, “a peacock’s gotta fly!” You can’t stop Herbert from running.

I am not Adam McKay's typical political audience, but that movie was awfully funny throughout. Aside from the cringeworthy scene with Eva Mendes in the walker; I was really amused. One of the few comedies in the past fifteen years that landed with me. (Do they make comedies anymore? I thought we all just fought with each other for amusement.)

I'm of the opinion that’s one of the funniest movies in the last 20 years. There’s just so much funny packed into one movie. Everything hit, including the Eva Mendez grandma dirty talk scene.

Even the little jokes hit, like the water, the litter river band, “dirty Mike & the boys” turning his Prius into a “soup kitchen”
💀

Also the Michael Keaton chief compulsively quoting (and gaslighting) TLC lyrics was great.
