10 team league, still fighting for my playoff life. Final week of the regular season (4 teams in the playoffs with 1 week matchups). I started very slow but my team has rounded into form as of late and I have a real shot at grabbing a W from the #1 seed this weekend.
So I need your help deciding which of these two decent QBs is a better play:
M. Stafford at home against the Bears-in a dome so weather is not an issue. The Bears, while not a good team, have actually been ok against the pass and held Stafford to 213 with 2 picks and no TDs when they played in Chicago earlier this year
J. Winston at home against the Saints-as of now no chance of rain in Tampa so weather also not an issue. The Saints have given up decent numbers to QBs all year (22nd against QBs) but have actually kept the more mobile guys in check: 9.1 to Russ and 12.8 to Cam. Last year Winston had one ok game (18pts with a rushing TD) and one bad game (13pts) against the Saints.
I feel like Winston has the better matchup but Stafford is the better QB. I could easily see Stafford being mostly done throwing by halftime whereas Winston will likely have to air it out all day. Hate relying on garbage time, but then again, we're talking about "Playoffs!?" Any insight is appreciated. Leave a link and I'd be happy to help
