QB Vick Knew About Dog Fighting Ring? (1 Viewer)

Speaking of people laughing, anyone think the Charger organization is feeling pretty good right now? They only settled for LT instead of this putz.
And they have Rivers, Merriman and Kaeding instead of Manning. Yeah.Collectively these moves come close to erasing the memory of Ryan Leaf away!

ofcourse he knew what was going on in one of his houses ... thinking otherwise is just foolish.
I think it's foolish for people to think landlords know everything that goes on in their properties.Maybe Donald Trump should be charged with all the crimes that have been commited by people living on his properties.
Yeah, because this was just an investment property with some random guy renting from him. :yucky: It was a property that Vick owned and one that HE built on. It was also his nephew staying at the house, not some annonymous renter. At the VERY least he had the buildings built that the dogs were kept in. So we know that he was aware that dogs were being kept at the property at the very least. The FBI is reportedly involved and I would imagine that's why not much else has come out yet. When it does, I fully expect to hear that dog fighting was definitely going on and that Vick probably knew about it. I also fully expect his "boys" to take the fall for him and Vick to get off relatively clean. The biggest problem for Vick could be any statements that he has already made saying that he never went to the property and didn't know what was going on. I don't think it would be too difficult to prove otherwise if he was indeed involved.
Of course he knew there were dogs, HE HAS A DOG BREEDING BUSINESS, which is legal. Also it's irrelevant if it was his cousin or an anonymous person living there, as long as there is no evidence he was involved in any illegal activity he is not responsible.I've seen articles on kids who were caught dealing drugs and the police found drugs in their rooms. Guess what, the parents weren't charged with the crimes, the kid was. There is no way for anyone to be expected to know everything going on with another human being, even if it's family...especially family that doesn't even live in the same state.I hear Geico is hiring, and some of you should be able to get jobs pretty easy since they won't have to use any makeup.

But guess what ?? They could be. Ever hear of parents being arrested for their children drinking in their home illegally ? Or how about the person who drives home drunk from a party, gets into an accident and the home owner is responsible?Get a clue, you really have no idea whats going on in this country as far as law goes.

LOL, ok, but someone who wants him lynched with no evidence like yourself does? Also rarely if ever are there convictions on these crimes your talking about. I've heard of parents who had knowledge of underage drinking have the law come after them, but not when they had no knowledge of it and weren't involved in it at all.

The drunk driving from someone's home where the homeowner gets conviced also rarely if ever gets prosecuted.

Your bringing up ridiculous instances that #1 don't relate to this case, and #2 don't get prosecuted anyway.

Well at least you admit your last 4 posts were bogus.

Are you taking a protaganistic view just to be different? No one has come out and said there is 100% proof that Vick is running a dog fighting/gambling ring.

However, your statement that "LOL, ok, but someone who wants him lynched with no evidence like yourself does?" holds no water.

The facts, as we know them are:

- Michael Vick owns a home where a number of dogs used for dogfighting and dogfighting equipment was found.

- The home was being occupied by a close friend/relative of Vick.

- Vick has a history of breeding and selling the same types of dogs used for dogfighting.

- Witnesses have placed Vick at or around the home numerous times in the last year plus.

Maybe all that evidence in inconclusive. Maybe Vick comes around, has no clue what is going on, sees the mangled dogs and thinks "Hey, maybe my cousin just isn't doing a good enough job raising these harmless little pups."

Better yet, maybe he doesn't come around at all and these "suposed" eyewitnesses are making everything up. Maybe the feed store guy just wants his fifteen minutes of fame. Who knows, maybe Vick is just an innocent landowner who never speaks to his cousin. It's not like he has any history of questionable activity.

Let's get real here. Our judicial system is based on reasonable doubt. Sadly, he'll probably get off with little punishment, if any. However, I think it's pretty safe to assume he's played a pretty big part in this mess.
