Quick Dynasty Auction Question (1 Viewer)

Starting up a 12 team IDP dynasty league with my friends this year. We're going with 40 man rosters plus a 8 man taxi squad. I just have a quick question about the $ amount for the auction. ESPN gives you $200 for the auction, but that's for a standard league with 16 man rosters. Should I go with a bigger amount like $500 instead? What $ amounts have you guys had success with?

Frankly I don't think it would matter much at all - the ultimate salaries of the top players will likely be the same percentage of the overall cap whether the cap is $200 or $500.

We went with 1000, and had 10 owners, 40ish man rosters with IDP, it worked out very well.

The bigger the $ budget the better. I would want at least $10 per roster spot. The reasoning comes when the auction starts to wind down. With small budgets, $2 is huge vs $1. With bigger budgets, you can see $1-8 bidding wars even at the end of the auction, which makes it more fun and exciting.$500 sounds like a good number.

I'd go with $100 auction seeking the top 50 players on the yahoo big board. Draft after that.
