Then I hear about this crazy plot against the NFL earlier today.

Then I tuned into CBS tonight and watch this... http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/

Talk about jitters.

The terrorists must know that Merriman would go "Lights Out" on them.

Seattle's offense is going to "blow up" against the Vikings.

Furthermore, if terrorists do attack , I bet that they are wearing Raider Jerseys.

on a serious note - why wouldn't they want to target a bunch of NFL stadiums and set off a bunch of boms. Lots of vulnerable people gathered in the same place watching a sport that defines America. I think it is a definite possibility. Assuming it was a dirty bomb type of device - is that something they could smuggle into the stadium? I think Iread all it took was a briefcase full of radioactive material. I don't think the blast would cause mass casualties but rather anyone within the vicinity of the radioactive explosion would be screwed - not sure how though.I go to all the Jet games and this has crossed my mind - those security guys don't instill lots of faith in me.Updated: just read on the cnn site that the plam was to have the bomb in a truck and set them all off at the same times in multiple citys. The majority of the casualities wouldn't be from the bomb itself but the radiological fallout in the open air stadium.

Or this is a ploy to distract athorities and spread out national security and they hit game 1 of the World Series. You know America's Past Time.

Regarding Giants Stadium/Meadowlands ... I haven't been in the stadium or arena in years, BUT, I'm at the track a few nights a week. Security there is NIL.

An ex of mine used to do part time security there (Giants Stadium) on Sundays. She basically said the whole operation is a joke, and that most of the crew was as tanked up as the tailgaters.

Makes ya think.
