**Rams at Eagles**(-3.5, 44.5) 1:00 (2 Viewers)

Playing vs Philly D that is the kind of play you lose against a TD that was not needed they could just fell on the ball.

It will more than likely be banned next year. You can only cheat your way to wins so many times before the league takes notice. After it does get banned, Eagles won't even sniff the playoffs. It's all they got. There's a reason why they have to use the tush push - it's because their QB can't throw very well.
ridiculous take. And it's been covered ad nauseum. Apply traditional QB sneak conversion rates and Eagles lose MAYBE one more game over the last 2 years...good luck picking which one

I would suggest you stop making it personal. You know nothing about me and prefer to react like an emotional child instead of just being civil and objective.

Maybe you should sit this one out.
non objective repeated attacks can feel personal. And no....you are NOT objective on this. You can say Im not, but I have the data. QB sneaks enjoy a VERY high success rate. Strong O line, QB with powerful build....he'd enjoy a very good traditional sneak success rate...that's NOT A SUBJECTIVE TAKE
Is he an adult? Or a child? Maybe he should act like an adult.

Also, it is a subjective take. But let's say you're right - you have to remember that he also has to THROW the football, he can't be QB sneaking on every play. And, as we've seen, throwing is a problem for Hurts, like most (but not all) running QBs.
HUrts ended up 21 of 32 for 226 and 3 TD's, 117.4 QBR. Not bad a for a running QB who can't throw

Crossover from who should I start.

Will Hurts need to do more since the Rams will score points, as Adams improves their receiving core over 2024.

Note, some will be starting Daniel Jones and Drake Maye over Hurts.

Some people are dumber than others
Jones and Maye had decent games, but Hurts outscored them by a nice margin.

BUT, it took a big deficit for PHI to use Hurts and AJ. Not sure if this will happen versus teams with worse offenses

As a fan, I’m just glad to know the capability is there. I’ll shut up and watch boring, ball control Offense for at least a week, now, knowing they can hit the gas when they need to. Especially against an excellent Defense.

Meh. He had like 18 yards passing until the 3rd quarter. Not impressed.

And he needed help getting in the endzone once again, twice. Enjoy the swan song of the illegal play the Eagles get away with. Once it's gone next year - and it will be gone - they're going to be in trouble.

I find it funny that people think Hurts wouldn't be just as good running a traditional QB sneak as he is running the tush push.

IKR, and conveniently ignore that a traditional sneak is 90% or so anyway, with a NORMAL chicken legged QB

The data shows you're wrong on that. All one has to bring up is, then why doesn't he do it? why does he need assistance if he would be that good?

very quick google:

QB sneak conversion rates are very high, generally in the range of 80-90% for the NFL, significantly outperforming other offensive plays in short-yardage situations, like third and fourth downs, even before the advent of the "Tush Push" play, which further increased success rates to the mid-90s for teams that utilize it effectively. For example, Tom Brady had a 90.5% conversion rate on QB sneaks from 2000-2023

If Brady could hit 90, HUrts could hit 90 behind that line. It's not really even all that subjective

better number:
QB sneaks have demonstrated high success rates in short-yardage situations, with one analysis finding success rates of 85.9% on third or fourth-and-1 since 2017, compared to 69.1% for all other plays in those scenarios, according to CBS Sports.

86% includes all QBs, even ones that aren't tailor made for it

Why doesn't he do it? Because he doesn't have to.

It's the same argument we have about Hurts passing. His passing numbers aren't great not because he can't throw but because he doesn't have to.

Our best plays are Stafford bad throws.
And McVay conservative play calling
The possession before the half really stands out to me now. Eagles get ball after the half and he acted as if that was the game winning FG. Does he have a history of this?

Please keep crying. Its great
This hasn’t aged well

Lol

OMG JORDAN DAVIS SPEED DEMON
It’s unreal how well he moves for a man his size. 18 MPH on that TD 😳

Fred Johnson really stabilize the right side of the line after Pryor crapped the bed.
Such an underrated move. I have no clue what they say in Pryor in practice lol

lol at taunting

As an Eagles fan, this was one of the worst calls I have ever seen.

Can someone please get a little maturity into Carter?

In addition to the above, this ref wanted it. Carter can be stupid but he’s walking back to his sideline and the ref is following him over. Of course, idk what he said but this ref was acting umpire’ish

Lol there's no way Philly losing this.

They found all their mojo.

💯

Re-watching this game rn. Late 3rd Qtr, almost 4th Qtr- that Nacua taunting penalty is soooo stupid. The NFL needs to stop trying to present the product as some paragon of 1950s values.

Of course, sportsmanship is important. But he flexed after an amazing catch, while facing some Eagle players. Roger, can we pls de-emphasize the pearl-clutching faux-indignance at a little celebration in an emotional game? TIA.

Rams can obviously beat this team. Thats 2X they let them off the hook. Credit to Philly for fighting 60 minutes. Rams have to learn how to finish.

Barring injuries (notably Stafford) this is absolutely a playoff team. Puka and Adams might be the best WR tandem in football rn. Nacua is borderline unstoppable and so versatile.

The Defense is beastly. Absolutely killed it drafting all those young guys on the line and bringing in Ford. The secondary, without Spoon, played impressively. Lake is total baller.

Lot of season left to play, but if we face off in the playoffs again, I hope to all that is holy that it’s in Philly again.

I don't know, losing Lane Johnson early in the game and replacing him with Matt Pryor really affected Philly. They had to help Pryor out for all of the second quarter and basically were just stuck in the mud. Once they took Pryor out after that sack-fumble in the 3rd and replaced him with Fred Johnson who is a good backup, the Eagles took over the game.
