Rams beat Packers this week (1 Viewer)

I would consider this a trap game if it weren't for the fact that the Packers struggled a bit last week even though they won. As a team, they're well coached enough to take that as a bit of a wake up call, work on their issues, and treat this next game seriously. If it had been another blowout I could see the PAckers being complacent enough to lose to the Rams.

yep to this nope... not to your yep. Here's what could happen:Disney could buy the team, make them wear the old Mighty Ducks jerseys and change the team name from the Packers to the Quackers, roster the original NHL players, tell them to go play football --still wearing skates mind you. Bradford would be unstoppable. Jackson might get some cuts from those skates pushing the pile but he would gash them right back; 3 TDs easy. Ron Tugnut would not save any of them. Kariya would throw pick after pick... Fights would certainly ensue and the Ducks would hold their own here. I see Stu Grimson vs. Quentin Mikell. All Stu. Even as he's in his 40's now. Kariya would eventually get carted out. Many Quackers would leave the game concussed... and then the Rams would certainly win.But the Rams are playing the Packers this week.
I see you played a lot of EA NHL 93-95 on your Sega Genesis...Tugnutt reference was priceless. Money has it you are between 32-37 years old?

I'd be mildly concerned if this game was at St. Louis but I can't see the Rams coming to Lambeau and winning.

That said, if there are any Bradford owners who need to start him this week he could be a nice option. The Packers' pass defense is pretty bad and there should be a ton of Garbage Time potential for the Rams in this game.

should be a high scoring game if any of the Rams WRs can catch a football. SJax may have a decent game but seriously who is gonna emerge for the Rams?

Just older than your guess but otherwise dead on. I remember playing friends at EA without a goalie. Liked the EA Euro Hockey as well. These days though NHL Hitz Pro is the best arcade sports game of all time.

Both starting Rams CBs are out, so regardless of any pass rush the Rams are able to establish, Rodgers should be able to pick the secondary apart.

I see the Packers getting a nice lead early, but laying off on the gas a bit. Probably will be a nice day for James Starks, especially in the second half.

Or they take the Denver approach and lay 55 points in retaliation for the troubles the Cardinals have given the Brewers so far! (except last night)

GB has showed one thing from the start of the season... they are not going to sit back on any team and they do not like to run the football. They are going to allow Rodgers to sling the ball around the field until the end of the 4th quarter.

My prediction 38-13.

Rodgers: 360 yards passing, 15 yards rushing, 3 TDs (Jennings, Finley, Nelson), at least 9 different players catch a pass.

Reasons its possible.

-Its the NFL...even the bad teams are NFL teams that can step up.

-Bradford is still a good young QB with some talent and they have Jackson.

-Clifton out has been bad news for GB in the past.

Reasons its not likely.

-Aaron Rodgers

-Newhouse may be the best backup they have had to sub in for Clifton.

-Aaron Rodgers

-Bulaga practiced 2 days in a row, looking like he may be able to go.

-Aaron Rodgers

-Pickett and Raji helping to stop the run.

-Did I mention that Aaron Rodgers guy?

That was last year's McCarthy. He seems to have spent some time with Bill Belichick in the offseason.

Jennings limited due to groin injuryGreg Jennings, WR GBNews: Packers WR Greg Jennings was limited in practice Thursday due to a groin injury. The Packers host the Rams in Week 6.Analysis: Late-week injuries are no laughing matter, so we only hope that this is a minor injury and Jennings is back at practice on Friday. He is a good Fantasy start no matter the matchup, but the Rams' secondary is depleted by injuries, so Jennings is certainly doesn't want to miss this matchup.

Just my quick thoughts.

GB could sit their top 3 WRs and Finley and still win this game going away. Rams are hurting bad at WR and CB. GB plays the run well. GB passes very well. Just too many factors in favor of GB.

I see the Lions handing GB their first loss this year.

Rams lose to Pack by 21 this week.Yep.
I think you are being conservative. Pack by 35. Yep. I said it.
i dont think the packers will run up the score ...i see them getting a comfortable lead then running the ball and eating up the clock...as good a time to work on the run game as they will get all year
I don't think they will run up the score either. I think it will be 21 - 0 by the end of the first quarter. I don't think this one will even be close to being close.I could be wrong though. Its happened before. Once. ;)

Choking on that popcorn yet?

I totally wasn't expecting the Packers to print this out and use it as bulletin board material. There's no other explanation for what's going on.

 Yeah, no other explanation for an undefeated team playing the best ball in the league right now to be up 3 TDs AT HOME playing against a struggling winless team with a depleted secondary.Someone pegged it right in one of the first few responses. Complete "throw #### on the wall and see what sticks" kind of thread based on nothing more than a lame attempt to get some attention.

How about a ridiculous prediction?Just admit it - your prediction was wrong - that is the explanation.

You're doing it wrong. You need to make 57 of these ridiculous predictions every week and then when one of them comes true you can say you're a genius.

After watching this one...man, the gap is wide between Rodgers and Bradford. Bradford just doesn't make all the throws. His deep ball is terrible and his fade routes in the end zone are flat. He's just a mediocre QB at best right now. The Green Bay pass defense is out and out horrible..

I think it's more that Aaron Rodgers is on a totally different plane then any other QB playing right now. The audibles, the mobility, the hard and fast throws, the soft and lofted throws. He's got it all. The Rams never stood a chance in this game.

The game ended too soon. You could sense that the momentum was shifting towards the Rams, after giving up 24 pts in the first half. They played them even in the second half, and were ready to explode in the third half.

That's what my 8 year old says after we wrestle...

Bradford is so used to getting hit/sacked/planted he's losing his edge. Just ask Marc Bulger how that feels. If St Louis can drastically improve their O-line next year they might be able to save him. But another season like this and he's ruined.
