Rams could cut Bruce, Little (1 Viewer)

Little has really slowed down wouldn't bother me one bit to see him cut loose.
He tried to play through a knee problem and a toe injury that eventually required surgery after Week 3. He didn't have a sack through the first three games, but I don't think he was slowing down then. The toe injury and age are a concern, but there are plenty of DE (particularly those with two way skills like Little) who have been successful into their mid-30s.

Neither would be surprising; and I'm not sure Bruce would be that eager to offer a big time discount to remain in STL. It's a new regime with uncertain playoff chances, I think Bruce would be open to going to a contending team with a one or two-year deal.

Rams should cut Little and Bruce and use the # 2 on Jake Long.
Wrong Long.
I am high on Chris Long as well, but I believe Jake Long is the # 1 prospect in the draft. DOn't see anything wrong with them taking Chris Long at # 2, hardworking, smart, tenacious kid. He would be a great two way end for them. The Rams line woes have been well documented. Put Long in as your left tackle and you are all set for the next 10 years at that position.

Well, if they put Long at LT, that means they have to move Pace to RT or cut him.

They can do what the Ravens did with Ogden when they drafted him, and play long at guard, or move Alex Barron there. Pace is 32, is coming off surgery. I think he stays with the Rams this season, but will be cut in 2009. When you are picking at the top of the draft, you are investing a ton of $$$. You take the best player on your board. You try to fill a "need", and you can get stuck with a sub par player. Jake Long should be the pick at # 2.

Maybe I'm a sucker for the workouts but I would have never agreed with this until I saw the workouts today. He is in a different class of all the players that worked out today.
