Rams WR Holt to have MRI on Monday (1 Viewer)

Uh oh...this doesn't sound good. I'm guessing he has cracked ribs.Waiting a week after the injury is not a good sign.
MRI is more likely for cartilage damage. Cracked ribs should show up on an x-ray.
obviously you've never heard the story of Milt Stegall
Yes... the famous Milt Stegall......
I know Milt. Went to high school with him. I gave him a "cup check" with a wrench in auto shop one time. It made him cry.

this board is getting ridiculous; the amount of overreacting that goes on around here is mind blowing.
:goodposting:
and mind boggling and mind numbing
So, 20 members out of 20000 discussing a possible injury is a "mind blowing" amount?
That's like .10 percent, so yes
It's more like one percent when you figure in the fact that most of us have ten aliases.

(On WR Torry Holt’s condition) “Torry’s fine. He’s going to get an MRI today at 4 p.m. There’s still a little pain in there that concerns him but there’s nothing alarming about it, just peace of mind. Just make sure there’s nothing that we didn’t see originally.”

(On expecting Holt and Bruce to be ready for Thursday’s game) “They could be available for Thursday, but we haven’t decided what we’re going to do with our first units, in all phases actually, right now.”

Rams Monday practice injury update, Holt, Bruce practice

In a bit of surprise, wide receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt were back at practice Monday and fully involved in the drills. Bruce has been nursing a sore hamstring; Holt hadn't been on the field since injuring his sternum Aug. 19 vs. Houston.

Linehan said that both "could be available" for Thursday's game, but added, "We haven't decided what we're going to do with our first units in all phases."

Bruce "is still not turning it over full-speed, which is OK," Linehan said. "But at some point we're going to have to get him to test that and make sure he feels 100 percent."

Holt had an MRI on Monday afternoon, which showed nothing more serious than a bruise.

Also, fullback Madison Hedgecock (ankle) practiced for the first time in more than a week, although his work was limited. Fullback Paul Smith (calf) suited up but only took a rep or two. Nose tackle Jimmy Kennedy (ankle) remained on the sideline.

I'll have to admit I was concerned after my WR1 had been snake-bit 2 years running - Steve Smith '04 and Javon Walker '05 ... was afraid of the three-peat with Holt. :loco:This is great news for Holt !!
