Random Youtube Singers Covering Popular Songs thread (1 Viewer)

Bored today...

was looking for covers of some of my favorite Steely Dan songs and this was REALLY good (well mixed, the harmonies were fantastic, drummer is great, guitar solos are note for note perfect), but juxtaposed against the setting made me laugh. Looks like they're playing out back in the dilapidated woodshed at your grandmothers house during a family 4th of July gathering.

how guys with this much talent never make it, is crazy

ETA: I see why they never made it, their other songs are awful

Same neighborhood band - cover of UFO's Love To Love is not bad either: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxykjOT2Bdk

Not a band that's covered very often, for good reason since it's not easy to.
Was just watching that. It's nice.

What amazes me, being in the local band "scene" over the last 10 years or so is how many cover bands have a singer as their weakest link.

It's actually really tough to audition a singer as a band as you're typically focused on your parts and if the singing isn't mixed perfectly, you can miss a lot of their dynamics and even whether or not they actually sing well. We carried a horrible singer for months and didn't realize it until the feedback we got from our first gig.

I've been watching Masse's videos for years. Technically, one of the most talented vocalists I've ever heard.
Happen to be traveling in London on business next week and Masse is playing in a club there - just bought a ticket. Never thought I'd be jonesing to see (and pay money) for some random Internet performer, but he's that good.
