NO chance? It is JMO... what can I tell ya?To say offering Moss is an insult is absurd. I would not be surprised if Moss outscores Marshall this year. Even in Dynasty knowing Brady will be back, you have to figure Moss could outscore Marshall as well for the next few years...Being insulted is crazy thoughVery much so. I own Marshall. If the Moss owner offered him straight up, I don't think I'd even reply.Ah, so I guess we agree...!I think maybe you misunderstood me.I understand that it sounds nuts, but I would wager a bet that Marshall ends the year with better numbers than Moss. I'm just unnaturally high on Marshall I suppose.Offering Moss for Marshall 1 for 1 right now is nothing short of an insult.I would love a Moss for Marshall, but I know the Marshall owner and he's on Brandon's jock hard.I will say this. *If both players stay healthy*, there is no chance Moss outscores Marshall the rest of this year. And I made no mention of dynasty, though I'd still take Marshall.

Pats fan here. After watching last week's game when Randy only had 3 targets, he really seemed disinterested in the game. I think that the Pats stayed true to their colors, had an offensive gameplan to avoid throwing at Darrelle Revis (who is a very good corner) and minimize the margin of error for Cassel. This really seemed to tick Randy off as he looked like his dog died.Having said that, I'm thinking that Randy will go off this weekend. McDaniel will find a way to get Randy as involved as he can since there really isn't anyone on Miami that can hang with him. This will also be a way of "not losing" Randy.I expect at least 100 yards and 1 TD...Just my .02...Moss will have a field dayThree targets for Randy Moss in week 2 is not going to do it for a WR1. The Moss owner in my league put him on the block this week, so I sent him a couple of trade proposals just to test his asking price. He wants a RB and a lesser WR in return. I offered Selvin Young/Vincent Jackson or Felix Jones/Devery Henderson for Moss. He countered with Felix/Brandon Marshall(!)...looks like I won't be landing Randy, at least not this week. I doubt many Marshall owners would trade him for Moss straight up, let alone in a package deal with Felix the Cat.
Those two offers are ridiculous. Selvin Young and Felix Jones have done NOTHING so far and wouldn't be starters in a 14-team league right now. The WR you offered are borderline rosterable in 10-team leagues. Moss still has top 5 WR value at least through this week. If he puts up another 2-3 pt week then I could see knocking him out of the top 10, but there is no chance IMO that the two offers you made would ever be enough to get Moss no matter how bad he plays for the next 6-8 weeks.Edit - I should have said next-to-nothing since Felix did have a TD the first week. He'd have a lot of value if MBIII were lost for the year, but it would take a catastrophic injury like that for those trades to ever make sense for Moss. The Moss owner in my league put him on the block this week, so I sent him a couple of trade proposals just to test his asking price. I think you haven't been paying much attention. Felix Jones looks awesome and the Cowboys will definitely be getting him more touches as the season progresses. Selvin Young certainly has his weaknesses because of the shanahanigans, but the Moss owner has Andre Hall, so my rationale was defensible. Vincent Jackson is getting more looks than Chris Chambers, and the two key players in the Chargers offense are both dealing with bum toes. I agree that Devery is a lowball offer, but I'm not giving the other guy Felix Jones and a good receiver for a stud WR with a history of sucking and sulking with backup QBs.ETA: you must've missed the Monday night game...check the highlights on NFL.comThose two offers are ridiculous. Yep. Heard an interview with Jaws the other day, and he just got done watching the Pats/Jets coaches tape. He basically said exactly what you wrote. The idea now is to win 20-13 instead of 40-27. He said nearly every pass Cassel threw was something "safe"... screen passes, quick hitches, hook patterns where the target sits down and is wide open, etc. He said Cassel's job is to (here's that phrase we all hate) manage the game, and they'll do everything in their power not to put him in bad situations, which means leaning on the run game way more than before.Seems to me the Pats might want to avoid turnovers as much as possible, with the new QB. The most likely way for that to happen is to chuck it up to Moss downfield. Massive drop for the best WR in football.

I don't own Moss but I wouldn't go as far to say the sky is falling. I mean it seems like people are actually thinking Moss is going to end the year with WR3 numbers. I'll believe it when I see it.The Moss owner in my league put him on the block this week, so I sent him a couple of trade proposals just to test his asking price. The issue facing Moss owners isn't "opening up the playbook" for Matt Cassel. The issue is that his QB is Matt Cassel. He is WAY too good to be ignored in this offense. I expected the first game to be bad for him, Cassel will not have the playbook opened up much for the first game, and maybe not until after the bye week.

and re: the bolded part - why would anyone want more of the 3 (could be 4 soon) headed RBBC in Denver? F Jones isn't generally startable unless MBIII is OUT - unless you start 2 RBs and can flex a couple more. He might get some more carries to spell Barber and some mop up duty in blow outs, but unless you're getting points for return yards, he's still just a 'cuff. Nothing like LBJ @ this point.I'd be interested to hear what the coverages were during the game where he was making all the safe throws. I read a report that Moss had a safety rolling over on virtually every play. I expect the offense to focus on ball security, and throwing into constant doubles won't happen. But Moss torched the Jets last year and it looked like they schemed to take that weapon away. Moss will get his over the course of the season. At some point, if the Pats continue to dink & dunk, the doubles will slow down and Moss will get singled up, and I think he'll still have an impact. And lets not forget that Moss excels in the redzone jump ball, so the TDs should still be there ( 10-12, maybe ). I see a 25% drop from his season projections that I had with Brady, but that still puts him as a legit WR1 in 12 team leagues.Yep. Heard an interview with Jaws the other day, and he just got done watching the Pats/Jets coaches tape. He basically said exactly what you wrote. The idea now is to win 20-13 instead of 40-27. that counter was laughable...The Moss owner in my league put him on the block this week, so I sent him a couple of trade proposals just to test his asking price. Lots of truth in this posting. Cassel won't have the confidence to throw it up to Randy whenever, regardless of coverage, which was what worked so often last year with Brady. Moss won't produce anywhere close to his draft spot. All true. The projections seem a bit low, especially on the TDs. The one thing that I keep thinking about is that it is difficult to double down in the redzone, because the routes don't take enough time to develop to roll coverages. Moss is one of the best in the game at going up and getting the ball, and should still be difficult at best to cover on the quick fade in the endzone. I still project 10-12 TDs, but most of them short. The sky is falling. But if you hear me out, you'll understand. Moss was likely somebodies first pick in their draft, with MC at the helm and the way their focusing on "managing" the game there is no way he's going to warrant his draft position. How can anyone possibly be sold on MC yet, the guy's longest throw was a 7 yard slant. He is no Brady, and they know this... He doesn't have the same confidence.. Brady has the confidence in moss that regardless of the coverage he was just going to toss the rock up and Moss would go get it.. thats confidence... Matt does not have that nor does he have the physical tools.I know this is probably a bad example bc there are many variable to this equation but does anybody remember Randy's stint in Oakland with Andrew Walter trying to make plays with him? If i was Randy Moss id look like my dog died aswell bc im sure he remembers it. This is a totally new team without Brady and im going to get crucified here but my prediction on the season for moss...68/900/7... Bold i know... but its just my .02Regardless if he surpasses my prediction, he's not going to warrant his #8 overall pick or whatever 1st round choice he was.
Obviously you wouldn't trade Marshall for Moss straight up which I 100% agree with. But I want to see more than one bad week until I would even think about trading Moss for the two offers you gave.. Why would you sell after two bad weeks?Has the sky fallen yet?SELL!SELL!SELL!His current trade value should be somewhere between Amani Toomer and Ted Ginn.

Because at the moment, there are still owners in denial & Moss still has name recognition. Pretty much saw this coming. Gotta be ahead of the curve here fellas.Just moved him w/ garrard & LJ for JStew, Boldin and Edwards.I'm happy since Moss really is an enigma, wrapped in bacon, going forward, imo.
It will be hard to move him now anyway. Moss owners are really in a no-win situation. You'll never get what you deem to be "fair value" for him, and I don't even see how you can put him in your lineup until he shows something.Really you think so? I really don't buy that. Well, anyone with half a mind would have traded Moss the week Brady went down. There were quite a few "sharks" in this thread laughing at the idea that Moss ' value would drop below that of a WR #1. There are still owners who would take him.Really you think so? I really don't buy that.
