I still see him finishing in the top 3... :bag:
I don't know about top 3, but I'm trying to buy low. I offered his owner D. Foster since he is lacking at RB and drafted a few extras. We'll see if he takes the bait, but this seems like a classic buy low. I offered him this week, he'll probably turn it down. By Sunday night after Baltimore destroys Oakland he may be trying to get rid of him.B. Nugget

Can I ask why?I can see that in ONE universe, but there's just so many others telling me that he's not even top 10.
Oakland will be playing a lot of catchup, whether it's because of their oline play or their defense. Their off week is in week 3, so they'll make some adjustments, that will either improve the oline a little, or they'll change their play calls for quicker release. With the terrible oline they could try short little slants, in which Moss could really excel.Brooks was able to keep Horn among the top every year, except last year, so why can't he do the same for Moss? His offensive line was much better though. He is an upgrade over Collins, although Brooks isn't exactly the ..... hell I'll just say he doesn't seem too bright. I'm not too enthused about the coaching staff though, so maybe my expectations are a bit high.Moss will not finish out of the top three this year.

i'm benching him this week in favor of donte stallworth. i drafted randy in the 3rd and santana in the 4th of a 3 player keeper league. my 8th round and 12th round picks of stallworth and coles crushed my "studs" last week in pts. randy sits for the week and i go with the hot hand donte and santana. randy's value is low, but he will have his games where he gets his and then some. i can wait until the raiders step down in class from the ravens defense. seems like the prudent thing to do this week. if coles outproduces santana again this week, i will be seriously considering each week......benching my studs.

RANDY MOSS WILL BE FINE THIS YEAR.

Sure the Raiders looked awful in the 1st game of the year BUT look at the positive MOSS had over 50% of the offense, he had 40+ yds. receiving and was basically the only WR Option.

I know what you thinking 40+ yds. is not good for a #1 WR but I GUARANTEE the Raiders play better the rest of the year.........

How can they not? 9 sacks ? 50 total yards ? this is the NFL not POP Warner...and sure it was a bad game...it looked more like a preseason game than a Monday Night Game of the Week...BUT this game will allow the Raider coaches to evaluate what they have, and that my friends is a BAD OFFENSIVE SCHEME.....I am sure the coaches are develping a strategy to help the O-Line....like some screen pass plays.....3 step drops...etc....Brooks was taking 5 to 7 step drops trying to play vertical when the RAIDERS need to install a West Coast philosophy and get rid of the ball quickly and allow Moss and Jordan to make plays....I am not saying the RAIDERS switch OFFENSIVE PHILOSOPHY'S but I bet they change there SCHEME drastically this week against BAL. This will help MOSS and let him make plays, he will be targeted at least 10+ times and tha's really all you want from your #1 WR, the ability to make plays, and trust be MOSS can MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING, the guy is a freak....

LOOK FOR MOSS to rebound against BAL and have a good game.....100+ yards and a TD.

For Moss Owners DON'T PANIC and trade this guy IF you really don't like the RAIDERS situation WAIT for a big game from MOSS and trade him. I on the other hand would hold on to him the entire year....MOSS is healthy this year and will produce as a #1 WR this year 1200+ yds and 10+ TD's.

One last thing to remember: MOSS is a good #WR is fantasy football, who cares about the Raiders team, they suck, but ask yourself will MOSS get the targets to make PLAYS, of course he will, JUST WATCH!

Every one expects Brooks, the O-line and Jordan to have a horrible game against the Ravens yet Moss is supposed to somehow stand out with a good game? If he has that capability, then why didn't it happen in week 1? Well, because of Brooks, the O-line...you get my point. There just seems to be some sort of denial around Randy Moss. I drafted him so I'm not above it. But look at last year. That promised "stud"-ness never came. He was the 15th ranked WR. That means in a 12 team league, chances are every team had at least one WR that was better than Moss. That's not a stud. Now the team is by most accounts worse and Moss is somehow supposed to be magically better? Meanwhile, Driver was 13th ranked last year and already performing better this year (and up against a softer defense this week) and people think you shouldn't start him over Moss. What are you basing this on? A magic 8 ball?

2 things that I see that are very different from last year... 1. He is healthy, he played hurt almost all of last year... Tough to put up big numbers playing on two gimpy legs.

2. Brooks may not be a very good qb but he can buy some extra time in the pocket, something Collins could not do, those extra seconds that Brooks will buy will give him exactly what he had with Culpepper and he will be able to get behind the defense more often this year..

If you think that the raiders are going to allow nine sacks every week then all I can say is that you dont know the NFL very well... Things change from week to week, and teams that look god awful can make adjustments very quickly... Dont get me wrong I am not overly impressed with the coaching staff but a HEALTHY Moss will produce very nice numbers....

Only because the question had come up of who to start this week (Driver or Moss) and there was also mention that Moss could overcome this matchup in many of these posts.

So Brooks fumbled twice and got pulled. Now Moss doesn't even have the Brooks connection. Oakland has imploded. It's official. Moss will be useless. I've said it and it will be proven. See you you here week 17 to gloat.

WTF are you talking about? Brooks went out. Walter in. Oak drives right down the field and puts it's first points of the season on the board.

Many posts? :lmao: . Please point out these "many" posts. How are you going to gloat at me even if Driver does well. I said he's a better start already in the other thread. Please at least make an effort to act like you've done this before.

Ummm....a freakin' FG! Go back and read this topic in full. Explain to me how it's about Oakland making FGs? It's about Moss producing. He's OH SO STUDLY right? HAHAHA. Where was he on this record setting scoring drive?A stud doesn't stop producing during bad matchups. Moss does/is. WTF am I talking about? When you have to pull your starter in game 2 because he's so lousy then yes, Virginia, your offense sucks.

Go back and read your second paragraph. Walter came in and the O looked better.

I believe in the 'always play your studs' philosophy. If you have Randy Moss, you play him. You sure don't sit him down for the likes of Donald Driver.
:goodposting: Im with you, chances are you used a high draft pick to get him (rounds 1-3), you dont sit a player of his caliber anyways.....I look for Shell to chew the O-Line out this week and get them better prepared.

Randy will get his this week.

8-120-1 is the line i see ( and hope for )

There you go, smartass. Not even sure why you flamed me when you agree.

You're kidding right? That disproves me? LMFAO. I said that the Oakland offense is done for the year and Walter's 5/9/77 changes all of that? Man, I want what you're smoking. Nothing has fundamentally changed. The O-line, playcalling, general low moral is all still there. But if you want to hang your hat on some hope, go right ahead. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: Just so you know, twice <> many. Way to go right to namecalling though. I'm sure you are going to stick around a long time  .

It's 3 genius. One is a quote inside another. But being bad at math must be the reason that so many people have faith in Moss. To them, the less the points, the more studly he gets. We could argue over what many means all day and if you don't agree with the point I'm making then you'll always say it's not "many". Even ONE comment saying Moss was would do well this week deserves a little trash talk.

He said "always play your studs" and he considers Moss a stud. That doesn't mean he thinks Moss will turn out a great game every time he touches the field. I would play him too, but I don't necessarily think he can overcome this week's matchup. He beats a standard #4 receiver though. For the record, I think he will have a mediocre year at best, but if you drafted him in the first 4 rounds it's unlikely you will find a better option. There aren't a lot of #4 receivers who will top his numbers. You are so worked up though :lmao: . Take a break. You just got here.
