I could have sworn RnR posted in here. ;)
I did, and removed it shortly thereafter. No need to start an i-fight on something I don't have a stake in, but I do stand by what I said if you read it. Some toolish people in here rubbing attendance numbers in the faces of Rays fans.
In here? You sure about that? :confused:I don't see it. A couple (justified imo) comments about their silly ballpark, but attendance numbers?
Like I said, I deleted my comment because after the fact I didn't feel like it was necessary, but here are some quotes for you:
Is this the annual thread where we pile on the rays for their attendance woes? will answer yours
It would be a safe bet to say there were less empty seats in the ninth inning than TB averaged in attendance this year.

To be fair, I made one simple joke about it, and Cappy took offense. If I could take it back I would. Still, that team deserves so much better than that ballpark and that fan support. Not counting the hardcore fans like those in here.I was more interested in your comment on TB closing this thing out in three.
Ha, well I believe I said I "hope" they close it out in three. Obviously they didn't. Rangers played very well. Hats off to your boys.I guess I have a sore spot for people that use attendance numbers against a team or its fan base. It just seems like the easy way out to "smack talk" something the players and hardcore fans have no control over. Agree 100% that the team deserves better support. The ballpark issue will resolve itself in due time. If the Marlins can have their attendance numbers turn into a brand new stadium, there is still hope for the Rays. Actually, I think success of the Marlins' new stadium will be crucial in Tampa's bid to convince the powers-that-be that it is feasible. Much like the Marlins, the Rays' attendance problems can be partially attributed to stadium location.

Oh come on. Really?

No kidding. The first was an obvious joke, the second was an out of context reply to comments about some empty Texas seats in game one.I also enjoy "some quotes for you", which actually means "the only two somewhat relevant comments in this entire thread."

Wat. Nobody bringing up declining TV viewership? Too lazy to link the article, but I think it's down ~37%. Vaporized?

You're awfully feisty over a comment that I have, now for a 3rd time, admitted was an overreaction and retracted almost immediately. Is that not what you asked for in your original post to me? "Two somewhat relevant comments" would seem to be adequate for the subject being broached in this thread, no?I'm confused as to what we're talking about. My admission not clear enough?

No and no. I wouldn't have said anything if you really had admitted it was an overreaction originally. I guess your second post was at least moving in that direction, but it was followed immediately by the silly examples of what offended you.

1. No need to start an i-fight on something I don't have a stake in, but I do stand by what I said if you read it.

2. I deleted my comment because after the fact I didn't feel like it was necessary.

Is this a capella alias? I lost track. I thought it was premier, but my notebook was lost in a fire.
